Welcome Spring!
Oh, how I've missed you
Though true to form you are new

Familiar
Like a friend seen anew
Yet mysterious stranger too

Nostalgia
And excitement true
At seeing your emerald hue

Small secrets
Shamrock and snake who
Hide among grass and sweet dew

All creatures
Bid Winter adieu
From toad and eagle and shrew

Welcome Spring!
It's good to see you
With you I too feel like new
