A parallel world that resides within us.

How surprisingly we build a world within our minds,
Insulated from influences of what is true…

It's like a castle being nowhere,
We allow certain people to be let in and exclude others,
We glorify them or vilify them, portray their character.
At our whims and fancies

We paint that world on the canvas of the mind, bit by bit.
Sometimes, copying and pasting from reality.
Often inspired by the gist of dreams…

In the noise of silence, that castle becomes our desired reality.
Where happiness stays endlessly, pains are bearable, and aggression or confusion comes with a way out to overcome.

I wonder how these worlds exist within me, parallel, mutually exclusive,
Or maybe they do breach quietly….

I sit at the edge of this world frequently, weaving my desires brick by brick,
debating with myself, reviewing my thoughts, and rejoicing in my journey
Often, chimerical revisit the past, just to see what would have happened if I detoured!

I don’t know what to name this world,
Wondering why it formed in the first place
Is this world only part of me?
Or everyone secretly commutes to their unreal world…regularly!

I don’t remember when this unreal started rising,
nor thought when it would near its culmination,
But I know somewhere deep inside I belong to this world,
It will exist with my breath, and it has to
As I find ease being nowhere…
