Heart of denial.

Denial of the obvious.

Back and forth we went,
Trying to decide, trying to settle,
It could not be,
It just could not be,
My heart beat increased,
I just could not breath,
The accusing eyes,
The paused lips,
They made it worse,
It just could not be!
It could not be!!

We stared at each other,
The world around us seems to had stopped,
The wind had stilled,
The birds had stopped chirping,
In each others eyes,
We could read the unsettling thoughts,
On each others face,
We could see the unsettling expressions,
Our fingers twitching,
Yet we could not touch,
By society's standard, it could not be,
With all the differences, it could not be,
It just could not be!
It could not be!!
