For You My Friend

When we loose the ones so near to us, we know it will never be the same,
We think about this special person,
and wonder why the lord had to call his name.

I've often stopped and pondered, perhaps the lord needed them more,
On earth we shared our time with them, now it was time to enter heaven's door.

Perhaps these are our guardian angels, the ones we can not see,
Maybe their time had come to help guide us into eternity.

Just think of all we'll say to them, so much we'll have to tell,
While they will be helping deliver us from this earthy hell

For please don't think of this my friend as the final, bitter end,
For the lord Jesus has promised us that we will all meet again.
