Terror in White
First person account from a ghost.

I am a foamy silvery white
The sight of me elicits fright
Roaming the halls
And ripping through walls
Spreading terror throughout the night

I don't say, "Boo!" and float about
I prefer to shatter and shout
When I start scheming
Mortals run screaming
Terror trailing along their route

At peace I remain most of the time
But occasionally a thought sublime
Enters my mind and I must try
To make the unsuspecting cry
It's in this moment I'm at my prime.

The rumors fly around my land
The tales they spread gross and grand
Unexplained death and mutilation
All of which are my creation
Each new account, the flames are fanned.

So enter here only if you dare
Knowing my goal to startle and scare
If you survive
And leave alive
You, too, will have a tale to share.
