Earthen Angels
Oh mortal soul your flesh is frail Warm near a hearth when cold winds whale, The desperate orphan's hollow eyes Seek comfort with low pleading cries, The hungry beggar, nearly froze Holes beset his tattered clothes, Sad urning in their hearts doth plead Though multitudes are full of greed, A few souls will feel this pain They joy to share their worldly gain, Desiring not to receive their own They offer gifts free till all are gone, Hope's at it's best when children sing These earthen angels have no wings. © Copyright 2003
