Full Speed Ahead

I'm pretty jazzed today. This weekend, the wife and I saw Up In The Air, Jason Reitman's new film. You know, the Juno and Thank You For Smoking guy, son of the guy who did Ghostbusters, Evolution, Kindergarten Cop, etc. Absolutely fantastic movie, and very topical (especially for someone who just lost his job!). Anyway, after seeing a great movie I came home and started to think about the next screenplay I want to write. It's been far too long since I've written an original spec on my own, and I'm excited about the process again. I've got a killer idea and everything fell into place really quickly. I've got my characters figured out, the twists and turns in the narrative... it's all coming together and I might even be able to start writing as early as this weekend.

Now that would be a great birthday present, wouldn't it? The inspiration to write!
