Six weeks left to live!
Six weeks to get my affairs in order;
should I make a list
or be spontaneous?

Spontaneity,
of course wins out.
Because
six weeks is not long enough
to pay off all my debts;
however,
it is long enough to say good-bye
to all my friends,
family,
and enemies.

Six weeks
is long enough
to get my spiritual affairs in order,
to finish a novel,
to ride in a hot air balloon,
to plan my memorial service,
to write my obituary,
to do a dozen other things
I have not thought of
yet,
to be spontaneous,
to laugh...
