Feeding my Muse
30-Day Blogging Challenge September 1 to September 30, 2011 ~ Day 10 Prompt: How do you cure writer’s block? Do you have a special ritual that you go through when you encounter writer’s block? Or do you just suffer through it and hope it clears up or goes away?

Writer’s Block usually means my muse is hungry. Sometimes a quick fast food meal will do, but at other times I have to feed her, a full seven-course meal before her hunger is sated.

If my muse wants a quick meal, then I turn on television and find something interesting to watch. I my muse wants a full meal, I begin with prayer and then go on to reading or housework. I know it sounds odd, but washing dishes or doing some other household chore stimulates my muse. Then there are the days I have to take my muse out to eat. There are days when a drive across the city will produce ideas.
