Am I really "living" here?
As I wrote Chewie Kittie : I'm going to stay 3 months... But, it's possible that I could rent here and there and split the year between the two places. It would be around $620/ month to do that... and my income is limited... Still, there are one and two bedroom apts in Missoula that go for $500-$700. I need to add in the travel costs... two trips of $800 (hopefully cheaper) adds $130/month. That would make it $750... ouch. If I could "share" one or both places it would become more doable.

...I also need to find cheaper flights. With two places I can go whenever: at the last moment, standby, in someone's suitcase... *Laugh*

me:

A market we will go, a market we will go...

Guess who went to the farmer's market (feria) today? Bought: papaya, cabbage (purple and green), tequisque (taro), yuca (manioc), garlic, sweet potato, small yellow potatoes, a "hand" of bananas, green beans and CARROTS! I can make soup now or an olla de carne (a soup/stew except I don't have any meat).

I'm eating very little meat. I'm rarely hungry. I've cut back on coffee (but I bought some today and just put on a pot). I'm getting some exercise as walking up the hill to my place is tiring.

Any extra fruit I can share with the birds. Had two blue-grey tanagers as my first "customers". Taking photos is going to be tricky. Wish someone could show me how to set up a blind or hidden camera.

I'm not sure how my money is going as it cost quite a bit up-front to do all this. However, I'm hopeful that by February the costs will have leveled out and I'll know whether this was a bright idea or not. It seems okay... but I know that not everything is what it seems.

Oh... and if anyone needs to visit Costa Rica before February 15th... I have space... *Smirk*

More rain today but not as horrid as yesterday. The sun even peeked out! 5:16 pm now, grey and soon night-fall.

Before nodding off, I must edit the poems I've been writing in Spanish before tomorrow's writer's meeting.

I went to bed before 10 last night and got up 7ish. My rhythm is totally different here. *Smile*
