Maybe I should've blogged yesterday...
...maybe not...

me!

More like me. The workshop yesterday was rough for me. The technical aspect is difficult because of language and cultural barriers. I believe they are trying to help. My problem? I want feedback as to what works and doesn't more than I need an intellectual literary critique. So... next time, the 6th of January, I'll bring a more polished work. And then I'll just have to let it go...

So I feel small. Still, my language abilities will improve. Read more; write more; converse more; study my grammar. I just need to work on it every day and not get depressed.

Yesterday was spent on staying home and entering/editing poems on my computer on WDC and then going to an internet cafe to switch them to a Word document and printing out copies. I learn that a copy costs ¢25 or about 5¢. But the copy place almost-next-door costs ¢15 or ¢25 for two sided, so next time I'll know what to do. I try to save money when I can.

The learning curve... can be stressful.

As for this place:

Squirrel woke me up this morning. Poor thing got in and couldn't figure out exactly how to leave. Oh, her beating heart! The rust-grey one is curious and almost friendly. She likes mango.

Birds? Not as many as one would expect but there are a few that live here. The hummingbirds are everywhere. I need to put out some flowers or a feeder to entice them to come closer so I can take pictures.

I've taken some cuttings to root. Maybe? Need to buy a geranium.

Me?

Still no appetite. This is good. Except when I feel a bit weak. It's only a 25 minute walk home with an uphill stretch and one steep 50 meters at the end.

Today dawned grey and there has only been a few minutes of sun. I decided against going to the beach. This means that I've basically gone nowhere for over a week. Settling in takes time.

This isn't like the vacation to England! That was truly a vacation! Nor is it exactly like my previous visits when I traveled from city to city. It's more like I'm living here.

Now I need to decide where I'm off to today. *Smile*
