Welcome To My Reality – Week Seventy – Seven

3. If you could change only one thing in this world what would it be?

Only one thing... oh, boy. Something for the world or for me.
For me... I'd make me younger... to go back in time and try somethings sooner - like teacher's college. Go back and rethink my relationships.... would I have married my husband if I had to do things again?

To go back in time... would I go to teacher's college earlier, then have gone to travel and teach abroad. Adventure and a different trajectory from where I am now. I'd come back to Canada after a couple of years and get a teaching position here.

Teaching and travelling abroad would allow me to do some travel writing.

If I chose one thing for the world it would be.... world peace.

4. Share your professional or personal “aha moment.” What was the defining moment that most dramatically changed the course of your career/life?

I remember watching a teacher run her classroom with an efficiency that amazed me. She knew her students so well, she could anticipate them and took the necessary steps. I thought this was unique to her until I thought about my own teaching experience and I realized I did the same thing when I worked in special education classes. I realized I did have it in me to be a not just a good teacher, but a great one... if only someone would see that and hire me for my own teaching contract.
