The Saga of Prosperous Snow Continues |
Sunday, December 11, 2016 Today is the first day of Masá’il, the month of Questions, 173 B.E. I was born on December 24, 1946 about 11 minutes before midnight. According to the Badi calender1, which is a solar calendar, my birthday falls on Masá’il 15. This year I will be 70 years old. I'm not sure how I'm going to celebrate the big seven-o; I suppose I should do something special since a person only turns 70 once in their life. I know, or rather think I know, I'm not going to do anything on either December 24 or 25 because I don't like going out of the house on either of those days. I did a Bing search for things to do on your 70th birthday and found "5 Of The Most Original 70th Birthday Party Ideas"2. This article discussed themed birthday parties, which would be a new experience for me. I've had birthday parties, but never a themed party (unless you consider a party with a birthday cake and ice cream a themed birthday party). The five ideas in this article were interesting; however, the only one that I might enjoy was the hot-air-balloon ride or the sky diving experience. I'm sure I'm healthy enough for the balloon ride, but before going sky diving I should check with my doctor or nurse practitioner. I know I wouldn't want to sky dive or ride a hot-air-balloon in winter. Maybe the best way to celebrate my 70th birthday is to stay home and either write or do surveys. The surveys sounds a little boring, I don't want my birthday to feel boring. The best thing to do is probably write short stories about celebrating 70 years of life on Earth or some other planet in the galaxy. Footnotes |
