A terminal for all blogs coming in or going out. A view into my life.
Started July 1st 2019 for contests, etc. as other blogs are filling up and have other purposes.

Ferry boat between Solvorn and Ornes across the Lustrafjord i Sogn og Fjordane.

I'm starting a new blog because
BOOK
L'aura del Campo  (13+)
Online journal capturing the moment and the memory of moments. A meadow meditation.
#982524 by Kåre Enga going to Montana
had over 1,200 entries and that was getting close to full. I don't want to trim it by deletion. I did that once, much to my dismay. Will be used more for poetry.

BOOK
Hoarfrosts from Hell  (GC)
Anything I'm not happy about or that I don't want in my main blog!
#997339 by Kåre Enga going to Montana
is still hidden from the public and will remain so. It's more personal and full of angst. Was used for 30DBC for May 2020 and now used for Blogville.

BOOK
Enga mellom fjella  (13+)
Enga mellom fjella: where from across the meadow, poems sing from mountains and molehills.
#1317094 by Kåre Enga going to Montana
was full... until the number of entries was increased. A mixed blog, mostly stories.

I'll be linking to
BOOK
On The Write Path  (13+)
ON THE WRITE PATH: travel journal for Around-the-World in 2015, 16, 18.
#2032403 by Kåre Enga going to Montana
as I need to post there about my travels.

BOOK
O Pinions!  (XGC)
May my opinions gather wind under their wings and fly, perchance to soar.
#1501776 by Kåre Enga going to Montana
is for my opinions. *Laugh*

BOOK
Nurture your Nature  (13+)
Look around. Let Nature nurture your Soul. I record images I sense and share them here.
#1439094 by Kåre Enga going to Montana
was set up for nature observations and musings.

BOOK
Watt's Gnus  (18+)
On topics and today's gnus. Definitely opinionated. Set to 18+ for a reason.
#1439092 by Kåre Enga going to Montana
come out of a need to share interesting stuff I come across. When I was young I did a small newsletter named as such. (or was it column in the newsletter? Been 30 years... I think.)

FOLDER
Flash Fiction  (GC)
Short 300 word, more or less, "stories" .
#2190336 by Kåre Enga going to Montana
is where I put my flash fictions. Maybe someday I'll figure it out and have enough good ones to publish. Ratings vary and some are hidden from view.

I've started an appendix (I no longer have one personally) to keep track of my Space Cadet journals for Space Blog. It's a work constantly under construction. Mind the mess.
STATIC
Space Cadet - the never ending journal  (18+)
Journeys of an Alien Space crew.
#2226611 by Kåre Enga going to Montana

I needed to start a folder for contests as there are so many deadlines and details to remember.

FOLDER
Conquest ... to keep track of contests  (18+)
A place to keep track of in progress works and up-coming deadlines as well as any awards.
#2233119 by Kåre Enga going to Montana

#2253938 by Kåre Enga going to Montana

35 degrees at 10 p.m. It's going to be a calm warming day.

I will probably go to the grocery store around noon. Sales start on Wednesday. There's no rush.

I've done a lot of blog reading and leaving comments. Maybe this group at 30dbc will finally embrace the concept of leaving comments. So far, so good.

-1c at 9 a.m. Glad I shut the window last night.

It's clear here but the mountain blocks the dawn. Sunshine finally streaming into my place. I need coffee.

"Blogging Circle of Friends Day 3028: March 3, 2021 Prompt: Use these words in your blog post: forgive, fortune, nuts, cradle, night, write, happy.

How to use these words? Not up for anything creative.

Maybe I'll splurge and buy cashews today. I love them but will eat them all at once. So much for nuts. I do like hazelnuts.

Fortune? *Laugh* I've saved up money sitting at home. What good is fortune if it doesn't bring happiness. What good is money if you can't spend it. I'm fine but can't say I'm particularly happy. I know what that feels like. Not feeling it.

I remember seeing cradles in Peja, Kosovo. We don't use them here and I can't remember any from my childhood. Maybe after coffee.

Write? What else do I do every day? Sleep, eat, drink...

Do I forgive? Am I forgiven? Forgetfulness isn't the same as forgiveness but it does help.

The night... what's that? Idiot lights guarding, securing ... nothing means that it's never truly dark here. They intrude. When I travel I'm lucky if it's dark.

Sunny and 50. *Left* That's not a typo.

A bit overdressed but I survived. I bought sugar. That's what I went for. I spent less than $20.

The walk is good for me; the stairs are not.

I have to read poems and choose one ...

"Invalid Item"   [] by A Guest Visitor A bit uneven and the poetics aren't very strong. The heartache though feels real. The original prompt words hold it back. Bromance/crush 3.8

So now I stare into a photograph and pine,
my heart suffering its own writing cramp.

"I Love You Father"   [E] by GERVIC 🐉 House Targaryen Rhyming, only a couple feel forced. Decent flow. Father/son theme is good. 4.2

A hint of tiredness, a vision of dismay.
His windows dimmed beneath his tousled gray.

"The Love We Have for Our Twins"   [E] by Sharmelle's Expressions It doesn't flow right and the rhymes seem forced. The topic feels very personal but tells not shows and is a bit cliche. I get no sense of the twins themselves. Mother/children 3.0

The Love We Have for Our Twins
         Was something very precious

"Invalid Item"   [] by A Guest Visitor The rhyming doesn't work and then it's abandoned. It reads like a story poem that would fit better into free verse. A tad too sentimental. Family/dog 3.3

When I rescued you, little did I know, it was truly you who had rescued me.
I never tried to own you because I never had to.

"There We Are"   [ASR] by Cubby Delightfully short or a bit thin? I'd switch lines 15 and 16. Married couple 4.2 I really do like the these three lines.

         full of dreams
         empty pockets
         rich with love

"Looking Back"   [ASR] by Words Whirling 'Round Rhyming with good flow, not perfect, but good. An understated humor and a dash or three of reality. Married couple. 4.4

         A couple's love can warm a house,
         it's warmer yet with three.

All that reading and I was looking at the wrong poems! Argh.

1. "The Well of Loneliness"
"The Well of Loneliness"   [E] by Christopher Roy Denton
Seems to work. 4.4

2. "You Knew Me Completely"
"Invalid Item"   [] by A Guest Visitor
A bit too sentimental. Tells. 3.9

3. "Faith through Love!"
"Faith through Love!"   [E] by Happy to write
It starts as a prayer and then loses it. It's not very poetic and does not follow the form at all. 2.8

4."Dreams Do Come True"
"Invalid Item"   [] by A Guest Visitor
Beseeching, cliche. We've heard this before. 3.0

5. "Whispers of Love"
"Invalid Item"   [] by A Guest Visitor
Flows nicely as a love letter. 3.6

6. "The Clandestine Love"
"The Clandestine Love"   [E] by GERVIC 🐉 House Targaryen
It doesn't work for some reason. The word choice puzzles me. 'trenchant blade'? I know some of the story so I 'get it' but it's uneven poetically. 3.9

7. "Only Love is Needed"
"Only Love is Needed"   [13+] by Lilith of House Martell
I like the volta between lines 8 and 9. 'blast' at the end unnerves me as it doesn't seem to fit. The theme is good though. 4.0

8. "Ascension of the Heart"
"Ascension of the Heart"   [E] by Warped Sanity
I loved the flow and alliteration. But that last word... 'bent'? It jars. 4.5

Well... at least I voted on time. I wasn't awed by any of the poems I read today. But it did clarify why I win sometimes. Apparently most folks aren't very poetic; others rely on tired words or images. Some can't read directions. And to emphasize: the entry is supposed to be a poem.
