We are magnetically charged meat suites. ... nice.

I sat with a wise-old Swede recently lamenting about my inability to make good choices... or just choices.

I said that I liked Sisaket (in Isaan, Thailand) better than here... He said... then go. What about my loneliness? "Someone there will be attracted to you."

Let it come?

He also mentioned his many romantic failures, including one girlfriend of 3 years who slashed him. *sigh* He has a new one. We met. I like her.

I would never hope that anyone was treated unfairly, but I get the point of his message.

The "this too shall pass" has helped me many a time.

Living in the present is a challenge, I agree, but sometimes it's good to just Zen out the world....even for 5 minutes at a time.

There's a song I think about every time I hear "nothing stays the same." It's by Patty Loveless, and it's called How Can I Help You Say Goodbye. Life definitely changes. I have a tough time living in the present. It's hard not to fall back into the past or worry about the future.

Sometimes living in the moment feels like ground hog day with Bill Murray for me. I keep trying to see the positive but it is challenging.

There are many days when I don't wax so philosophical.

I do think that we are capable of learning lessons; it's just that sometimes I'm a tad slow.

She Jumps When She Hears....

30 Day Blogging Challenge

PROMPT: January 23rd
Finish this story:
A girl, sitting alone on a rock at the edge of the woods, jumps when she hears…

the spine tingling wail of a coyote rip the tipping dusk in two. It was time to move on. She climbed off the rock and searched the ground for a large enough tree limb to wield as a weapon if need be. Finding one, she began to head in a westerly direction. The sun had just dipped behind the horizon and the air began to take on a chill. The thought of a coyote waiting along the edges of the forest made her skin tingle and goosebumps rose along her arms. She untied her jacket from her waist and slipped it on. She didn't stop to do this. Moving was of essence now. She needed to find the camp. The sooner the better.
