Blog City image small "Prompt: "Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me." Carol Burnett Do you think Carol is right?"

I think Carol is absolutely right. Even God will not change a person if they are unwilling to change. God doesn't want robots. People have to want to be Christians or there will be no change. People have to want to change period or there will be no change. Carol is spot on target.

What do you think Jung meant by this statement? Do you agree with him or disagree?"

I agree. I believe he meant that one does not become whole by objecting to everything that comes down the pike but instead we learn to get along. This doesn't mean we conform to everything but rather that we don't outright object to everything. I think that was his meaning.

Image for BCOF members to put in their blogs "Prompt: Use these words in your blog entry: peacebuilding, beauty, car, watch, radiance, brightness, splendour, effulgence, illumination."

Jesus came on a peacebuilding ministry. The beauty and simplicity of His message was universal and remains that way today. I can drive a car to any city in America and find like minded believers. I watch the news all the time and see things heading south. Jesus predicted the troubles in the world today. His radiance is everlasting. His brightness knows no ends. His splendor is better than the best tailored suit. I don't know what effulgence is. Jesus illumination is all over my life.

Blog City image small "Prompt: What makes you anxious? When can anxiety become a dilemma? And can anxiety be considered a good thing in some instances? "

As a Christian I try not to be anxious about anything although I admit I get a little concerned when I get sick or fail at something in school. Anxiety becomes a dilemma when it cripples you and stops you from performing. It is also a dilemma when you let it consume you. Jesus told the Apostle Paul to instruct us to be anxious over nothing. I don't recall the exact scripture but I recall reading it. Anxiety can be good if it motivates you to be prepared. I have a midterm Thursday and anxiety is motivating me to study for it. So some anxiety can be good. Worry is useless though.
