― Kate Lord Brown, The Perfume Garden
Write about an end that became a beginning."

The most important end that became a beginning that I can think of was when Jesus Christ was crucified and rose from the dead. The disciples all thought it was over. They did not understand that Jesus was going to overcome death. So when they saw their Master and Teacher on the cross they thought it was over. However death was only the beginning because Jesus rose from the dead three days later, ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of the Father, where He reigns forever as Lord and King! Death Wass the beginning for Him and for all who believe in Him!

Blog City image small "Prompt: October is approaching, what are your plans for the month? Writing, personal life, work life?"

I am a student at Marshall University and that means mid-terms are coming up. My plans for October are to get through school. I am also suffering from a serious liver disease so I will be recuperating from it. I will also be receiving my bachelor of divinity in Bible from Christian Leaders Institute sometime in October. I was told that I have met all the requirements for that degree. Aside from that I really have no plans.

Image for BCOF members to put in their blogs Let's discuss one of these incredibly weird, maybe wonderful on factual Friday. Here's the link you pick what appeals to you.

https://www.thefactsite.com/2017/03/50-weird-facts.html

None of the above really appeals to me as important for Friday because another Friday was far more important. The Friday that was important in my mind was the Friday of Passover 33AD. It was the Friday when Jesus Christ, the Son of God, willingly laid down His life that I might have forgiveness of my sins. All of history hinges on that event and mankind still measures time by it to this very day. I will be forever grateful that Jesus died in my place because He took the punishment that I deserve. Due to His sacrifice I am now back in good standing with the Father. I now have eternal life. If you believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that He died, was buried, and the raised from the dead then you too have eternal life. If not what would it be like for you to believe?

Blog City image small Prompt: "We've all watched movies at some point or another. Have you ever studied a movie from a writers point o view and broke the movie down? With this in mind, what two aspects make it a film versus a book? What's your favorite movie? Why? Remember we're looking at this discussion from a writer's eye."

I have never watched a movie critically and I doubt that I ever will. I am not a big movie buff to begin with. My television has been on a grand total of five minutes in the past six months. I just don't care for it.

Image for BCOF members to put in their blogs "Prompt: "There is something incredibly nostalgic and significant about the annual cascade of autumn leaves." Joe E. Wheeler Write anything you want about this. "

I don't like the annual cascade of autumn leaves. I don't like a tree with no leaves. However there are lessons to be learned in seeing a tree without leaves. One may feel that such trees are dead but they aren't. They are very much alive. They are just in a different stage of their lives. God takes us all through different stages of our lives. Jesus went through different stages of His life. Just as Jesus trusted the Father through each of these stages so we also must trust the Father through the different stages of our lives.

Image for BCOF members to put in their blogs "Use these titles in your blog, short story of poem today. The Premature Burial, Dracula's Ghost, Blessed Be The Bound, Afterward and The Murdered Cousin. "

I'm going to have to take a raincheck on this one. I have a kidney infection and it feels like a premature burial! I think I caught it from Dracula's Ghost though nobody knows for sure. Blessed be the bound though! I guess afterward I'll find the Murdered Cousin. Maybe then my kidney infection will have cleared up and I can really do something with these prompts!

Image for BCOF members to put in their blogs Sorry for making this entry so late in the evening. My PC died and I had to get a new one. I bought an apple and I'm just figuring it out. What I am looking forward to should be a no brainer for anybody who follows my blog,]. I look forward to worshiping Jesus in person. I look forward to having my faith be made sight and meeting the one who died for me. We should all look forward to that as there is no other way to heaven and eternal life.

Blog City image small "Prompt: Is it important to provide different points of view, evidence for and against, and/or different possible interpretations of evidence, for an argument, a debate, or essay writing? What could be a good example of a fair argument? "

My favorite argument is that Jesus Christ rose from the dead and was witnessed by hundreds of people who died as martyrs because they would not change their stories.

Write do you think"

I think I agree. Jesus said that the most important thing we could do here on earth was to be born again. This second birth is of the spirit and takes place when we repent and make Jesus Lord of our lives. This is definitely an inside job. It is a journey that nobody can make for anybody else. Each will be held accountable for his own journey.

Blog City image small"Prompt: In your writing, do you use real-life settings (as to place) or made-up settings? What are the positives or negatives of each choice?"

I guess that would depend on the writing. In fiction I use a lot of fictional places. In non-fiction I would mention real places.

What do you think?"

Everybody who reads my blog knows that I am a Christian. Therefore I will keep this relatively short and simply say that the Bible would agree with this author on this one. If it agrees then I must.

Blog City image small Prompt: "Mabon-- aka the Autumn Equinox. Happy Mabon, Hello Fall.

Of all the food choices typically served in the fall, what's your favorite main meal> Dessert? Tease out palate with delightful descriptions"

I don't celebrate the equinox because that is considered witchcraft and the Bible says not to do it.

Image for BCOF members to put in their blogsPrompt: "If you had to choose one season out of the four to live in for the rest of your life, all 365 days the same season, which one would you choose? Why?"

I would choose summer. I like summer because everything is alive. The trees look like they are alive. The animals are young or with young. There is new life everywhere and I feel I am closer to Jesus's creation that way. Jesus created the earth no matter what scientists may think they know. I believe summer brings me the closest to what the earth looked like brand new.

** Image ID #1871183 Unavailable ** Prompt: "Riches are not from an abundance of worldly goods, but from a contented mind."~ unknown

Your thoughts, agree or disagree? What do you think is a contented mind?"

I think a contented mind is being satisfied with what God has given you. All too many people want more and more but Paul says "Godliness with contentment is great gain," I Timothy 6: 6. Paul goes on to remind us that we entered this world naked and will also leave it with nothing. Money worries are no big deal. It's funny this should come up now. My financial aid surplus is due to transfer to me any day now, I was just praying it comes tomorrow. I know it is no big deal though.

Image for BCOF members to put in their blogs Prompt: "Use this line in your entry today--- "As the song goes..."Those three words are said too much, they're not enough." " Have fun."

Three words that I think are often overused are "I love you." I know that isn't very original because it is the go to answer. However I look at it from a Christian perspective. Jesus taught us that we are to love one another as He loved us. He went on to say in another passage that no man has love greater than the love it takes to lay down one's life for friends. Jesus did not mean that we should jump at the chance to be killed for our friends but rather that our love for the world around us should be so strong that we are willing to go to any length to help one another. Just think what a difference that could make in the world!

Blog City image small "Prompt: "Aflame in color, poets have written, borrowing the language of fire to describe trees in their full glory-fiery-red sweetgums, sugar maples igniting, birches alight in yellow flames. Okay, writers what are your views on this?"

I think it's sad that trees have to lose their leaves in the winter time for there is nothing quite as ugly as a tree with no leaves. However I will say that fall is a colorful time of the year. I have oft written about the beauty of the colors myself. Many of the Than-Bauk and haiku poems I have written have been about nature and quite a few of those have been about fall. My nephew use to refer to autumn as the "season of falling leaves" or "time of falling leaves." I'm sure that if one were to research it there would have been a Native American term quite similar to "time of falling leaves." Fall was once a time of year that I liked for one reason though. It was harvest time and fall meant plenty of good eats and it also meant hunting. I know that many people are against hunting but for my family it was a necessity. We fed thirteen people per meal so deer was a staple for us. I enjoyed my time in the woods trying to find food. It was peaceful. It was also a lot of responsibility as people were depending on me. Failure was not an option. Thank goodness the Department of Natural Resources tended to look the other way when I failed to look for antlers and shot more than one doe!

Image #1971183 over display limit. -?- "Prompt: You have to take time to stop and smell the roses. What do you think this phrase means? "

This phrase refers to the fact that we are always in a rush. We do not take time to enjoy Jesus or the world He created. As humans we have the innate ability to appreciate the beauty around us and instead we fall back to instinctual drives to be the best and to overindulge as if we don't know where our next possession is coming from. We fail to relax and enjoy the world God has given us striking a balance between making a way in that world and simply enjoying it. God said to subdue the world but we try so hard to control and own it. The fact of the matter is that I would not even exist if it weren't for Jesus Christ. If He created me why can't I trust Him to provide for me?

{image:1997652-25% "Seaman claim that a school of whales miles apart will all dive at the exact moment.." Are their signals we are oblivious to as humans or is it just a fluke coincidence. Have you heard of other similar situations?

I believe that whales communicate with each other over long distances. A mile is not that far and sound carries well underwater. One whale, probably a leader, signals to others and they all dive at the same time. This does not surprise me at all. Some sea life is highly intelligent and we must remember that sea life has been around much longer than us. They would even have survived the flood that occurred in Noah's lifetime so they have had a long time to adapt to their environment and as much as I hate to use the word "evolve" intellectually. So I believe whales communicate on some level.

Speaking of animal oddities I have also heard that dolphins have defended helpless humans from shark attacks. The shark will begin to circle the human stranded in the water and the dolphin will ram the shark to keep it away from the human. In one situation the dolphin saved the human by giving the human a "piggyback" ride to keep them from drowning. Animals are much smarter than we give them credit for, especially sea animals. However I had a dog that communicated quite well. I was arguing with my wife one day before she passed. I had lain down on my bed and was yelling at my wife. Sandy, my Pomeranian, jumped up on my chest and narrowed her eyes at me much like my mother had done. I was very angry. Sandy pawed at my chest, barked at me, and narrowed her eyes again. I then knew I owed my wife some amends and apologized because my dog told me to do so!

We have several cats that came here as strays to the West Virginia Veterans Home. The guys here started feeding them so the cats never left, Out of all of them only two will let you near then and they are skittish. I feel a skittish cat is useless. Cats have serious personality quirks anyway. Having an unfriendly cay is useless.

Ice cream is something I tempt myself with every day, I find it abrasive when my friends tease me about eating ice cream. I'd give money to see who comes up with these lists of words! It baffles me at 2:00AM. I straight up always try to write something though. I suppose I could have a pancake and oppose the writing exercise.
