They say your brain is split into three parts. For us writers they include: Just Writing
Hi guys! You've just found the Jlog of Jade Amber! Now you might be wondering: "What in the world is a 'Jlog'?" Well, a jlog is a mash of journal and blog. Since they give you an option for a title: Journal/Blog, I decided to mash them together! Hence the name 'Jlog'. So please enjoy a cup of Joe whilst you read and I will try to remember to 'Jlog' every day. While we're at it, enjoy these quotes I found online:

Wake up with determination, go to sleep with satisfaction.

Be happy and smile.

Don't call it a dream, call it a plan.

Life is tough, but so are you. -Stephanie Bennett-Henry

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment or the smallest act of caring, which all has the potential to turn someone's life around. -Leo Buscaglia

In today's world, we have come up with different ideas for making our lives easier.

For example, even though there are a very few of these, people have imagined robot helpers or maids to help clean the house while you enjoy reclining in your favorite chair with a mug of your favorite beverage.

Now, out of the 5 new, but weird tech items that we were given (these items are from CES 2017 in Las Vegas), since I am a pet lover and hope to have a few pets when I am older, I liked the Catspad.

For those who did not see the 5 items, they say the Catspad is supposed to feed your cats (or dogs) whilst on a trip, so you wouldn't have to ask the neighbors to do it for you.

Plus, you have this nifty little app that helps you find out how much your cats (or dogs) have eaten during the day.

My second favorite, surprisingly, was the Love Box.

Now the Love Box is supposed to give a personal love message that you can type through an app on your phone.

Also, for those who wants to have the retro feel of an old flip-up phone, that is also added to the Love Box.

That's really all I can think of now.

Bye!

Hugging a cactus.

Okay, now why did I come up with such a crazy, no one's gonna do it, kind of idea?

It's for the monthly blogging, I guess.

Anyway, my original idea was to have you hug a cat or dog or any pet you had really hard, but then hugging a cactus came to mind.

So, even if you wanted to hug a cactus, you would have to live near or in a desert (a.k.a. Arizona or the Sahara), be wearing a lot of padding and hug it exactly when it turned to midnight.

Hugging a cactus you keep in your house wouldn't really count since it would be really small and you would need a life sized cactus to hug.

That's what I thought.

Possible or impossible? Probably impossible, unless you wanted to look like a porcupine. *Rolling*

Sorry, bad start.

I was just talking about today's prompt for Jan 6th: Fun Fact Friday!

The fact was that Nancy Kerrigan was clubbed in the right leg by an assailant, and later the police arrested four men, including Nancy's rival's ex-husband.

Sorry, confusing, I know.

He was the ex-husband of Nancy's rival, Tonya Harding.

Now you might be wondering, Why are you practically copying what he told you?

Well I'm going to stop right now, because we are at the part in which the title was talking about: attack.

He said, and I quote: If you had to resort to some kind of evil shenanigans or trickery in order to increase your chances of winning this blogging challenge, what would be your plan of attack?

Well, like the title said, should I prowl or should I jump them?

Either, should I slowly, but surely do some sneaky stuff like looking for those people and... well you get the picture.

Or should I jump them, like do my stuff really quickly, so people wouldn't be able to react?

Only heaven knows, but in the meantime I think I would prowl them, stalk them, hide in the bushes and listen to their conversations they have with other people; and what do I mean by them?

Well, the bloggers, of course.

Though Dad would be easy...

So, how do I say this, while still making sense?

Well, I am at home, right now, working on my jlog, later to work on homeschool and guitar, but right now, my heart feels... Somewhere else.

My body's home, my brain says that I am at home, my stomach knows I'm at home, but wishes it were at a good restaurant right now, but my heart feels like it's walking on a road, towards somewhere.

That place I am unsure of, but when my heart's there, I will know where I am.
------------------------------------------------------
I'm snuggling a cat,
my heart's on a journey,
I'm drinking hot coffee,
I feel my heart yearning.

For what is it yearning,
I do not know.
Maybe I want winter,
cold air, frost, maybe even snow.

I want to write it out,
but I don't know how,
for the feelings I have,
cannot be told in someway or somehow.
------------------------------------------------------
I don't know whether I want to go on a very long walk, away from my house, or if I should escape to the wonderful land of reading or dreams.

What I want, I may never know.

Thanks for reading.

Somalia.

Why, you may ask?

Well, I have looked it up and they have said that Somalia is not a good place for a woman.

What are the reasons?

I don't know, but what might be the case is abuse.

Maybe people are telling women tourists to stay away because they might be abused and get hurt.

So, if I were you, and I went to Somalia, I would bring along either a very strong, tough man that has no interest in you except to keep you protected (like maybe a husband?) or some all time, heavy duty body guards.

Anyway that's why.

Today, I went back to practicing guitar. (I would've started drums tomorrow, but my mom wanted me to finish learning guitar before I move on.)

My teacher was a little excited to see me. (We've grown together as teacher and student and as friends.)

I learned a new chord, relearned some scales, and talked in our spare time about random things. Other than that, it was a good lesson.

Later in the day, we watched some AFV (America's Funniest Videos) on YouTube; I practically died when a girl was reciting the planets and said "Myanus" instead of "Uranus" and when a boy was spelling out names of animals and said the wrong animal:

"P-a-r-a-k-e-e-t. Penguin! That's not a penguin, that's a bird." *Laugh*

Some of the things were funny, and others were me just sitting there thinking: "Can we move on to the next one now?"

Anyway, bye!

We are currently watching the Sugar Bowl; Auburn Tigers vs Oklahoma Sooners; 10 to 7.

We watched the Rose Bowl; California Trojans vs Pennsylvania State; 52 to 49.

It was a close and exciting game.

I was secretly rooting for Pennsylvania State when California was kicking an after point; and when they made it, I was kinda heart-broken.

But right now, I's be sleepy. See y'all tomorrow! Bye!

Well, here we are guys.

2017.

I wasn't able to change the fact that we were going to 2017, but actually as soon as the ball dropped in NYC, I felt better about the whole thing.

Maybe, in the very back of my mind, I was saying; "LET'S JUST GET OVER WITH IT!!", though I didn't even know!

It was probably so small, that it was like trying to hear a Who talk in that little puffball. Just the one Who and not anyone else.

So now I know, that I DID want this year to come and last year to end in a second! And it did! We had 5. 4. 3. 2. 1 more seconds until everyone yelled: "HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!"

So, to keep with the idea of turning over a new leaf when a new year comes, I have decided to make up for last month and make sure to write a Jlog everyday!

I have more ideas on my mind, but I won't spend any more of your time with those.

Anyway, bye!

Well, here we go guys and gals.

Today is the last 2016 day...

I'm a bit unsure why I'm so sad.

I mean, 2016 took a lot of lives. George Michael's, Prince's, Carrie Fisher's.

The list kept going on and on; and now I'm a little scared about Star Wars: Episode 8.

Seriously! Who's gonna replace General Leia? Because in the 7th episode (Spoilers coming up!) it was Han Solo who died and in real life it was vice versa!

Meaning, Carrie Fisher died instead of Harrison Ford!

Not that I want him to die, I kinda like Harrison and his Han Solo character; but the fact of the matter is...

No, no I'm not going to tell you what it is.

Why?

Because I've already said it in black and white!

Anyway, if you want to see Star Wars: Episode 8,
1. Watch all of the other episodes leading up to Episode 8 (if you haven't already) and 2. If you do go, expect to see an unfamiliar face.

Anyway, bye!

I been thinking... *RollEyes*

Why is it that we humans love to be first? First for everything?

In elementary school, we always wanted to be the first in line to the water fountain, first to the swings, slide or other playground equipment, first to finish their work, test, artwork, you name it, we wanted to finish before anyone else.

At the cafeteria, it's the same. Always be first and never be last, otherwise, you might end up with green bean or broccoli casserole and no Jell-o.

The list just keeps growing as we get older as kids.

First to post a comment on something. You will sometimes find a comment saying "First Comment!" and not something helpful. I was in the same situation myself.

I saw that they had posted something new on the newsfeed, it was one of those "Three Word Thursday" things, and I was first to comment. It felt good to be first, for a while.

10-15 minutes later, my e-mail has 18 e-mails of notebook replies... *FacePalm*

And after I put all those comments in the trash (I learned in my early days on WDC that it ain't worth it to read all of those comments.), I still kept on getting e-mails on the same subject.

So, sometimes it's good to be first, but you don't always have to be first.

Anyway, bye!
