They say your brain is split into three parts. For us writers they include: Just Writing
Hi guys! You've just found the Jlog of Jade Amber! Now you might be wondering: "What in the world is a 'Jlog'?" Well, a jlog is a mash of journal and blog. Since they give you an option for a title: Journal/Blog, I decided to mash them together! Hence the name 'Jlog'. So please enjoy a cup of Joe whilst you read and I will try to remember to 'Jlog' every day. While we're at it, enjoy these quotes I found online:

Wake up with determination, go to sleep with satisfaction.

Be happy and smile.

Don't call it a dream, call it a plan.

Life is tough, but so are you. -Stephanie Bennett-Henry

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment or the smallest act of caring, which all has the potential to turn someone's life around. -Leo Buscaglia

I was originally going to choose the edible house, but since my dad, Jay O'Toole has chosen that one, I've decided to do the opposite one; the alive animal wear.

Now please note, this is a story in a blog entry. This is not one of my normal entries. Now, sit back and enjoy.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There was a kid who didn't know his name, so we address him as "Kid".

"Kid" was going about his day, when he noticed something new in town.

It was a store, called "The Live Animal Wear Shoppe".

Like most kids, he was curious to see what this shoppe was about, so he walked in.

The bell jingled and in no time, there stood before him a clerk.

"Welcome to The Live Animal Wear Shoppe!" the clerk declared.

"Uh, thanks." "Kid" said, startled at the clerk's declaration.

The clerk looked "Kid" up and down, making "Kid" feel nervous.

"Tell me," said the clerk, "What is your name?"

"My name is..."

"Well nice to meet you, My Name Is! I'm Clerk." he said, interrupting "Kid" as if he was ready to fit this kid and get him to purchase an item.

"Mr. Clerk? 'My Name Is'... That's not my name, I don't know my real name, so everyone calls me 'Kid'." said "Kid", hoping he got his point across, only to find out that the clerk was marching to the first aisle.

The first aisle that you came to was what was called "The Aisle of Belts".

"Kid" was expecting to see belts made out of snake skin, but found out that they were made out of real snakes!

"None of these will do on you. Do you always wear those gym shorts?" asked Clerk, who was certain that he wouldn't buy any belts with those shorts.

"I don't always wear these particular shorts, I wear the same brand and they're in different colors." "Kid" said, looking like he just won his school's spelling bee.

"Right... Moving on." said Clerk, marching on to Aisle number two.

On this aisle there were boots "lined with sheepskin", but when "Kid" entered the aisle, he heard baa after baa.

"Why all the baaing, Mr. Clerk?" asked "Kid".

"Why those are the boots! They're sheep boots lined with sheepskin!" said Clerk, with a smile on his face like he knew that "Kid" would buy these boots.

"I'm sorry sir, I like those sheepskin lined boots, I would buy some for my sister for Christmas, but these kind, I feel like you would be murdering the sheep every time you walked!" said "Kid", he didn't like the thought of murdering animals just by walking.

"So, no deal, My Name Is?" questioned Clerk.

"Kid" shook his head, and they moved on.

They went through aisle after aisle, and nothing was appealing to "Kid"!

The fourth aisle contained wolf coats, "Kid" was afraid that he would get scratched every time he wore the coat, or become deaf in one ear from all the howling.

The eighth contained earrings, "Kid" knew his mother would not like anoles dangling from her ears.

Aisle number eleven, turtle necks.

I don't want me or my family choking on four or five turtles! thought "Kid"

On every aisle, he could not find anything that either he or his family would like.

So, he left the clerk just as penniless as before.

We did have a T.V. when I was about 4 or 5, but we gave it away to some friends of ours.

So now we don't have a television.

So, if we don't have a T.V. in our house, that means we don't watch T.V. at all, right?

Wrong!

We watch movies and T.V. almost everyday!

Even though we don't have a T.V. we still watch on our iMac.

Now since we don't have a T.V. does have it's ups and downs.

The "ups" are that we watch on Amazon.com and they don't have any commercials, so when the television shows break for commercials, we just wait for two seconds and "they're back"!

Now the "downs" are that the T.V. shows that I watch are shows that adults in their 40s or 50s watched when they were kids or teens, so the shows that I can easily talk about are shows that will make today kids stare at me like I'm from another planet.

Another "up" is that the upcoming play that I'm going to preform with the youth is "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe", now that's not the "up" that I'm talking about, but the assistant director (I think that's who he is), he is a fan of Star Trek, like me and my dad!

How do I know that?

Well, there are two characters in the play called "Unicorn" and "Centaur".

They didn't have any real name at all, so the assistant director came up with names for them.

I can't remember what they were, but I know that the Unicorn's name is Klingon and the Centaur's is Vulcan.

Or it's the other way around, I don't know.

Anyway, when I saw how the Unicorn's name was spelled, I though "Klingon!", so after he told me how to pronounce their names, I asked "Klingon?" and he said "Yes, Klingon and Vulcan."

I could tell he was surprised, because he whispered to the director saying, "She knows!" because he had a really good hunch that people would not know, since Star Wars is more popular than Star Trek. *Smirk2* Heh heh heh...

So, when it comes practice time, in between breaks, I'm sure we will be having long conversations.

So yeah, I love Star Trek, Next Generation is my most favorite, but not only that but I also love classics like Family Matters, Full House, Home Improvement, Extreme Homes and Project Runway. (though it depends on the person's mind whether or not PR ((Project Runway)) is a classic. I say no to it being a classic)

I would tell you the shows I watched as a kid, but they're the same ones that your kids or grandkids watch now.

Miracles, miracles, miracles...

What miracle would I like to see?

...

The whole world turned into a big Candy Land and you could eat all you wanted without getting sick or... big boned.

Nah, just kidding.

That would be cool, but I'm thinking of something even better than a Candy Land world.

No, I'm thinking about the miracle of raising people up from the dead, just as they looked when they died, and ask them what it was like those many years ago.

Like raising up the greats like Thomas Edison, Albert Einstein, George Washington, and Martin Luther King Jr, and asking them stuff like:

"Mr. Edison. How did it feel to fail all those times and never give up? I would've given up on the first few go's. What made you keep at it?"

"Mr. Einstein. Have you always been very good with math and numbers since you were a kid? Were you picked on by others because of your smarts?"

"Mr. Washington. When you became the first president of the United States of America, what did you have on your mind at the time? Uh yes, we have had 55 presidents so far. No, no women, yet. Though one woman was very close to being president. No sir, she is not our president, it's Mr. Trump who's president. Uh, Mr Washington! Come back! Our interview isn't done yet! Ugh. Cut."

"Mr. King. Since you were a boy, have you always wanted colored and white people to be able to do the same things together in the same place at the same time? Uh yes, that was a bla- uh colored person who walked into the restroom. Yes, us white folk also go to that same restroom. Uh sir, could you please stop cheering? Uh this has been going on for years now! Ugh... Um, Back to you in the studio. Can someone get me a coffee? I'm dying from all the social interaction."

So as you just read, if we brought people back from the dead, we may have them running around, marveling at the new gadgets and such, and if we wanted to interview them, we would definitely be having a hard time.

Well, I took a quiz on this, except it was animal spirt animals, not non spirt animals; and mine was an Eagle...

(patriotic music plays in background)

But a non spirt animal...

...

A computer... *Laugh*

The reason why I say a computer is that a computer is complex and only the smartest adults and geekiest kids can figure them out.

Same with me.

When I'm emotional, I'm very complex.

I sometimes cry at the slightest thing, like when I'm not right, or when people didn't explain somethings very well, I may cry.

A baby, too, is also complex.

When it cries, it never can tell you what's wrong, you just have to guess, like "When was their last feeding?" or "Do they have an upset stomach?" or "Do they need another diaper change?"

You have to be a detective in order to figure out why the baby's crying.

"Alright, Janet doesn't have a dirty diaper, I just changed her. She isn't hungry, I fed her 15 minutes ago. She may have an upset stomach, though I gave her her daily stomach settler a few minutes ago. She may be cold, but she looks warm enough to me with 2 long sleeve shirts on, a coat, pants and 6 pairs of socks. So... She just might need some sleep in Mommy's arms."

Case closed.

Like that title said, I would like to thank everyone who has read, liked and commented on my posts for the past few days.

January is drawing to a close, some people are probably saying "January, get a move on so February can come!" since so many people have February birthdays; plus new movies are coming out, so that's another reason.

Anyway, I would like to thank paddy1, Jay O'Toole , Espero , BlueMoon , Angela Death , Schnujo is Late to Lannister , and anyone else that I've missed or hasn't liked or commented. Thanks again!

Unfortunately, I have only read one person's blog, but that will soon change.

I have only read Jay O'Toole 's blog...

Favoritism... *RollEyes*

The main reason why I only read his is because one, I sometimes need help with figuring out what today's prompt means, (sorry Fivesixer I understand most of the time!) and two, I want to see what he wrote for the day.

So again, thanks all of y'all for reading, liking and commenting!

Love y'all! *BigSmile*

First off, everyone who has made a blog post for today has probably started it of with a "Congratulations New Moderators!", but I will not go into that for I have other business to attend to, like, todays prompt!

Fivesixer has told the 30 Day Blogging group to review one of the new moderators works.

I originally was going to review one of Samberine Everose 's works, but decided not to base it off of favoritism, so I reviewed one of River 's works: Review of "I Need Coffee" .

He also asked us to tell him (and anyone else who was reading) about their WDC goals for the year. So...

(Disclaimer: I am not going to give you dates on when I'm going to get everything done. I'll do it when I do it.)

Goal #1: Learn how to review properly. So the reviews I need to give won't sound weird.

Goal #2: Write, write, write. Just write more poems, short stories and other miscellaneous things.

Goal #3: Enter more contests so I will at least get something to show for it, or just enter just to have a good time.

Goal #4: Branch out with my WDC friendships. I already have a few, but I hope to make as many friends as my Dad, Jay O'Toole , has.

Goal #5: Take some writing classes. I hear that not only is Winnie Kay a stern teacher, but that she is also a good teacher. My Dad is taking her Comma Sense class and has printed it out, so I may just read it and get something out of it. *BigSmile*

So please, go give the new moderators a big "Congrats!", if you haven't already, and I will continue to achieve my goals. *ThumbsUp**Smile**ThumbsUpL*

(Disclaimer: I am using Jay O'Toole's concept of taking his personality and turning it into a superhero. The concept was thought up by him, not me. This may be my last time I do something like this.)

She walks the halls of her school alone.

No one bothers to look her way, and even if they do, it's to laugh at her looks.

In some areas at her school, she is popular.

She is the only one in her theater group who listens and rarely talks.

She does her studying in Study Hall in silence, while everyone there, chit-chats with friends.

She is smart enough that bullies bully her about it.

She comes home and cries in her room for hours, while maintaining her streak of doing homework before dinner.

She is famous, only with friends.

Friends and family are the only people who listen to what she says, instead of saying "Shut your mouth! No one cares about you, smarts."

To the people who care about her, she is someone, to others, she is no one.

And I am almost identical to her...

One of the times at an amusement park, or fair in our town, that I will never forget, was the first time I had been on a "dizzy" rollercoaster; or the rollercoasters that spun you around... and around... and around.

The specific one I went on was a ride at our local fair called the "Crazy Mouse".

It was a rollercoaster, that when you got to the top of the rollercoaster, the ride would start spinning you around and around and meanwhile, the tracks would curve.

On the second curve, I was afraid of, one, falling off of the tracks and into the crowd of people (it felt like it was tilting slightly) and two, throwing up on the people below, because I was getting sick.

I knew then and there, spinn-y rollercoasters are not for me.

Another thing that happened at an amusement park was at the same fair, just a few years later, different ride and I was with a friend.

I had brought along my friend, Maya, to the fair.

We had a pretty good time, I think. *Proud*

We decided to go on a ride, that I forget the name of.

It was one of those ride with the race cars, but I'm pretty sure they were attached to poles, that were attached to the middle of the area.

Anyway, she and I were riding, having a good time, when all of the sudden, the car in front of us broke.

Everyone in the car was okay, but I don't know what happened.

Maybe something connected to the car broke off, I'm not sure.

But, if one part on a ride breaks, the whole ride is down for maintenance.

Probably because, people can't work on a ride while the ride is going. *Wink*

So yes, as you all know, the most memorable times in life is when unexpected happens, like the ride car in front of you breaks.

Maybe, if the car wasn't in front of me, I wouldn't have remembered it.

I don't know. *RollEyes*
