They say your brain is split into three parts. For us writers they include: Just Writing
Hi guys! You've just found the Jlog of Jade Amber! Now you might be wondering: "What in the world is a 'Jlog'?" Well, a jlog is a mash of journal and blog. Since they give you an option for a title: Journal/Blog, I decided to mash them together! Hence the name 'Jlog'. So please enjoy a cup of Joe whilst you read and I will try to remember to 'Jlog' every day. While we're at it, enjoy these quotes I found online:

Wake up with determination, go to sleep with satisfaction.

Be happy and smile.

Don't call it a dream, call it a plan.

Life is tough, but so are you. -Stephanie Bennett-Henry

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment or the smallest act of caring, which all has the potential to turn someone's life around. -Leo Buscaglia

Well for starters, I would set my time capsule for twenty years and then start putting memories in it.

First off, my drawings from when I first started drawing to drawings of today. I would compare them to the drawings I made in twenty years and try and see if there is any change.

Secondly, my writings. In twenty years, I would probably read those writings and ask myself "What was I thinking when I wrote that?"

Third, a bunch of CDs from bands like Twenty One Pilots to singers like TobyMac, so I could listen to them and see if my taste in those artists have changed.

Fourth, pictures of good times with family and friends. *BigSmile*

Don't know, yes and not that it was mine, but because it was my Dad's.

Sorry if that threw you off-kilter.

Let me smooth it out for you.

"Don't know" means I don't have an opinion on the matter of high school reunions,

"Yes" means I have been to a high school reunion,

and "Not that it was mine, but because it was my Dad's" means it wasn't my reunion, it was my Dad's reunion that we went to.

Now my opinion on the matter of "Do I like high school reunions or not", we are going to find out.

Now at my Dad's reunion, we had a football game.

Chipley against... I can't remember whom, but they weren't playing Chipley vs Chipley, that's for sure.

Anyway, it was a cold night, so everyone had blankets on their legs to keep warm.

They had the game, the reunion queens came out and they introduced the Reunion Queen for that year.

What year and who it was, I am unsure.

It's been a few years, okay?

I have a good memory, but sometimes it isn't that good.

So my opinion on high school reunions?

"Will there be a football game?"

Nope!

Nope nope noooooope!

No one.

No one is going to get me to write for an audience.

Even if they pay me 1 million bucks to do it.

The reason is... I'm extremely shy.

Have been and probably will always be to strangers.

I am out-going and playful with friends, but shy and a big scared-y cat to a stranger.

I will give a simple wave, Hello or a smile, but nothing more.

I'm also not a conversation starter.

My Mom has a friend who came over once with her son, and even though we both had the common interest of Legos, we were also very shy, so we didn't even talk to each other the whole time.

He admired my Lego table, full of Lego sets that I had built, and I was "playing" with my newly built Millennium Falcon set.

So yeah, asking me to write something for an audience is a pretty big no-no, for me.

Maybe when I'm older?

Turkish Delight.

No sorry, it's Edmund who likes Turkish Delight.

I, however, love ice cream.

Mainly citrus flavored ice cream.

So if you bring me some orange or lemon sherbet, I will be your best friend.

If the cops knock at my door, yelling "Open up in the name of the law!", I open up with one hand on the door and the other being occupied by a bowl of ice cream.

And on the way to jail, I'll be eating my ice cream, in the jail cell, I'll be eating my ice cream, unless they take the ice cream away from me, then I'll get mad and start destroying everything in my path.

When I get the ice cream back in my hands, I will go from furious tiger to purring kitten.

Speaking of which, I have some ice cream in the freezer that needs devouring.

By the way, I am somewhat of a foodie.

And now, heeeeeeere's my mashed-up nostalgic poem!

"Write one or two articles",
says my weekly to-do list,
but my family doth come first,
and to me, they are the best.

"Hello." says someone,
who has had an awful day,
but no one could reply,
for people were going their own ways.

"I gotta be on time, I just gotta!",
said everyone's brain,
when everyone got to work,
there was a person whose day was "Just great."

They were stuck on an article,
and could not get out,
of the 'mean'tal block that they were in,
they couldn't even "walk-about"!

The office next to their's,
was having trouble of their own,
for they had to fix everyone's goofs,
and they were NOT in the zone.

A few countries away there was a church,
who were having a quiet meeting,
why were they so quiet, you ask,
it's because they didn't want a beating.

Months later, there was a girl,
writing in her diary,
about how everything went wrong,
and then they had a happy ending.

Down in South Georgia,
people were wondering,
"If snow won't come,
why is Santa still coming?"

In one particular house,
a family was very busy,
getting ready for Christmas,
except for one teen.

On Christmas Eve at the North Pole,
some elves were solving a mystery,
about why Santa wasn't up and about,
and why the place wasn't so jolly.

In another house we see,
a boy overcoming a cyber-bully,
with him and a few other people,
they took down "Mr. Beast-y".

In a galaxy far away,
there was a girl,
and at that time, the authorities thought,
she should give jail a whirl.

When she and friends escaped back home,
there was currently a party,
where everyone was dancing and drinking,
and eating quite hardily.

Finally, we close with a girl,
who was writing to her future self,
it was a New Year resolutions letter,
and to think this is going on the shelf.

Guitar, piano and drums.

Now you're reading and probably asking: "What is she talking about?"

Well, I play the guitar, I have played the piano and I want to play the drums.

Now, I have thought about this for a while, and I came up with an idea.

What if, (if I ever learn all of these instruments well) I started a band?

I already have the name: The 3n1 Band.

It might sound weird at first, but if you get to know the meaning, you will understand.

The reason for that name is this: I want to play three instruments, and I am only one person.

Hence "3n1".

Now concerts will be hard, because I would have to play all three instruments at the same time, but I was thinking of doing YouTube videos to show my work.

It may take a few years, but I can handle it.

I'm a fast learner. *Proud*

Right now, I'm "following" in the footsteps of famous singers/songwriters like Vince Guaraldi and his songs like "Linus and Lucy", José Feliciano with "Feliz Navidad", and Ringo Starr with "Yellow Submarine".

Hopefully, I will be able to be as good on those three instruments as they are. *BigSmile*

Welcome, one and all!

Welcome to the Cleaner Port Game Show, where we tell who has the Cleaner Port or Porfolio!

Our contestants are Jade Amber Jewel and Samberine Everose!

Now give us a few moments while we look through your Porfilio.

Hmm.

Uh huh.

Ooh.

Pretty.

Pretty Folder.

Alright, the results are in and the winner of this year's Cleaner Port is... Samberine Everose!

For her prize, she gets the happiness of winning a contest.

Well, there you go.

My Port in a nutshell.

Messy, no folders and no organization what so ever.

But, that will soon change, for I will put it in my regulations for the New Year.

Maybe it should start out as: "Dear Me..." *Wink*

"I cannot write well."

That is what my little voice tells me.

I cannot write stories or songs as well as others can.

I, sometimes, try some new things and when I find out that I'm not good at doing it, I keep at it and sometimes I will prefect it some and other times, it's like it doesn't improve.

I know that my voice needs to shut up, so when the time comes I tell it: "Shut up!"

In my "perfect" land of dreams, if the internet were out, I would be reading a book, drawing, writing, (in a notebook) practicing my guitar, (if I can see the pages) or other miscellaneous things.

In real life, I would be moaning, griping and complaining about the internet, looking out the window, (like that's gonna help) and just feeling bored.

I would probably be in a bad mood and if Mom asked me to do some chores, I would probably walk with a small stomp in my step.

I would dread every minute without the computer, so yes, I am very much addicted to the internet and the computer in general. *Frown*

Now that he mentioned it, this past weekend, my family and I were supposed to go to North Carolina for my Dad's only nephew's wedding, and it was cancelled because of snow conditions. (I guess the snow storm that hit the northern states came south some and decided to give some of the southern states some snow too)

Now I was kinda like "Yay, I won't freeze to death now!", but I still had some disappointment.

See, I live deep enough in the south that snow rarely, and I mean rarely, comes to us.

Even though, we have seen snow before, we've probably only seen, like an inch or two of snow, then there was the ice storm we had, but that wasn't snow.

Anyway, other than those two times, we have never had snow.

So, I really wanted to go see the snow, but my Dad's brother said we could drive there and get there, but we would still be trapped in the snow for who knows how long.

But, that weekend, or last weekend, was actually good for us.

Mom was able to finally clean the fridge, (ick) we got snuggles from our cats, and with our dog still at someone's house, we were able to not have to take her out every 2 minutes.

So, all in all, it was a win-win.

Plus, the wedding still went on, just on the day the rehearsal was supposed to happen.

So, the bride got what she wanted, an out-door wedding, (IN THE COLD!!!) and we got what we wanted, some family together time!

It was awesome!

I even got to wear Mom's snuggly hoodie that she got for Christmas!

Let's face it, the person who gave it to Mom, really intended it for me. *Wink*
