| School holidays are over! Yeah! kids are back to school after nearly three weeks of combined end of term one, Easter holidays, Anzac Day long weekend. Granddaughter number one is pleased as three of the children are at school. Granddaughter number two is a Drama teacher at high school and they have been rehearsing every day in the holidays for their up coming theatre production of Oliver, so she never seems to get holidays. She loves her job though so I expect it’s not like a job to her. So everything starts again, Choir is back, my favourite day of the week. We’ve been singing our hearts out this afternoon. Creative writing starts on Friday morning after the break. I’m hoping we get some new faces for a new term. Weather till beautiful but evenings are getting cool. We are lighting our fire in the evening now. We feel the cold after thirtyplus temperatures for over six months |
| Just this minute had a film suggestion from Netflix. They suggested I may enjoy a new tv series called Chambers. The premise is that a girl who has received a donor heart has bad dreams and weird urges. I have thirty thousand words stuffed in a cupboard called Donor Trouble. Exactly the same story! Maybe I should have finished it? 😞 |
| It’s a big day today for Australia and New Zealand. April 25 th is ANZAC Day. Commemorating a battle at Anzac cove Gallipoli in Turkey. If anyone is interested they should Google what happened there. So many men perished. It is a holiday here and all the stores close for the day. We do dawn services , lay wreaths etc. Its very emotional. |
| Mixed weather conditions for Easter this year. Good Friday was terrible, cold and rainy. We lit fire and stayed home. Since then cool mornings and sunny skies. Today Easter Monday, it reached 25 degrees and it will be thirty by Saturday. Weird ! Walked by the river with Lucy my dog. It was so peaceful, other than the planes going overhead every two minutes😂 Had a picnic in the park yesterday with Daughter Sarah, her husband and her two daughters plus four great grandchildren. Lovely. |
| A crazy week has come to a close last night when my son and daughter in law left to fly home to Far North Queensland as far away whilst still being in Australia from us as is possible. We only see them overy couple of years or so which is sad. They live on a cattle station which is really remote. They are surrounded by rain forest and crocodiles and it is super hot and humid there. Too hot for me. We had family fun and it was nice to see all my children together in one spot at the same time. Just been informed the rest of the family are having Easter Sunday at our house! |
| Spent much of my day thinking. Hyperbole, similies, metaphor and understatement for Poetic pen lesson. Received welcome points from Cubby’s Prompt me contest for second place. Swam and walked the dog. Tired now bedtime 💤 |

| I love Tuesdays, Sing Your Heart Out day. We learnt a new Gospel song today and it sounded great! We aren’t a church we sing anything, any language or genre. Whatever it is, it always lifts our spirits. |
