L'aura del campo

'é a lua, é a lua, na quintana dos mortos'
♣ Federico García Lorca ♣

Higgins Street Bridge, April 25th 2009, Missoula, Montana

L'aura del campo. A breeze in the meadow. So it began the last day of Spring, 2005; on the 16th day of the month of Light of the year 162. This is a supplement to my daily journal written to a friend, my muse; notes I do not share. Here I will share what the breeze has whispered to me.

"Mary Anthony in Medina"

Mary howled words she soon begged to resile,
growled them again and now must kneel
to lose instead
her head.

10/8/4/2 which gives a quickening rhythm as rhymes c/c are closer than a/a or b/b. A play on names, history and perhaps a harsh reality for some women today. I guess the rhyme of resile/kneel can be considered a near rhyme if you pronounce resile to rhyme with aisle. As an American I haven't used this word before. It's an old word but not common.
