Be sure to mention that it's open to any kind of static item, like essays, stories, non-fiction, etc. (If that is the case, which I would advise.)

Ditto here. I don't know about other people, but my most "troublesome" items are essays.

And the length limit is perfect. I have a very large item, whose combination of length, type, and subject matter have banned it from entering any other contest. I'm looking forward to giving it a whirl!
