Tex frowned deeply as he saw the flame burn harmlessly in the palm of your hand. "This is an incalculably unfortunate turn of events." Worried, he whispered. "Jessica has discovered her magical talent and, even worse, she has discovered my book of chaotic science."

Unknown to you at the moment, all of the boys in your family were mad scientists and, as your twin, Tex risked becoming a girl and a witch just like yourself. The only way to avoid his fate was to keep his power equal or stronger to your own.

Tex mentally kicked himself for being so foolish as to leave it in the sitting room to be found. As he heard your statement, he slowly began to panic. "If I do not get that book back soon, my very existence as a male will be in serious jeopardy."

He bit his lip, quickly calculating the best course of action available to him. Finally, he decided to...
