"Angie, I dont want anyone to see me like this , and I need your help to get back to my room to get the growth formula before anyone else will see me." Alex is now seven inches shorter than Angie .He is not really used to being seven inches shorter than anyone , much less a sixth grade girl and he figures he must be around 4'2" now ,or around the average height of a 9-10 yr. old. He is still very embarrassed by this and his thought process is becoming convoluted . He forgets what he asks Angie and , just thinking about getting back to his room , spins around and begins to run to his room. But , he did not see Angie standing there and bumped into Angie . Well , Angie remained standing while Alex hit the floor with a thud. Alex was still embarrased and tried to get up quickly and make his way to his room and at the same time Angie was attempting to help him up. This time again , Alex felt a shiver go through his body and shrank 5 more inches , so now he is only 3'9" and is disoriented from his collision with Angie as well as the recent shrinking. Angie helped him up ( he was lighter than she expected) and discovered she is now about a foot taller than Alex. And this shocked both Alex and Angie
Angie kind of wanted to help Alex but also enjoyed being so much taller than him. This all happened so fast that it had not entered into Angies mind whether or not she is more physically powerful than the high school graduate nor had it occurred to Alex. So they both stood there , Angie the middle schooler craning her neck down and Alex, the high school graduate , looking up at the sixth grader. Alex had always respected taller people for some reason and that was beginning to enter his mind as he looked up at Angie.When their eyes lock Alex feels as if he is under a spotlight and his face again turns bright red from being so short so suddenly .Then Angie said " I will help you to get to your room.....eventually.... . " Then Alex was beginning to wonder should he have asked for Angies help?....
