I wake up, but something's happened to me, ...

I woke up a while later. Maybe a few hours later, or possibly the next day. No one exactly told me what day it was after all, and being in a hospital, I might have slept almost a whole day or maybe even longer. But anyway, as I woke up, something felt...off. I couldn't quite place the odd feeling, so I sat up and looked for a mirror or some other reflective surface. I spotted a food tray next to my bed, and looked at the reflective surface after moving the food items apart enough that I could see the reflection of my face, and I was shocked at what I saw looking back at me.
