Feeling Right Every Day!
Just another day like no other

We took Jonah to church this morning. Lots of people were happy to see him. What a miracle! Course, he had some bad gas throughout the service that left some gagging. LOL It was one of those money sermons that let people know we are in need of money, but people come first, of course. After, Jonah wanted to swing on the swing but it was raining and he was still healing from his ordeal. It is one of those dreary days today. Blackish clouds overhead threatening to storm. Gas prices went up 17 c... [Read more]

Ya, I just got back from the hospital after having gone by helicopter with my son in the bed. (We flew out from the local hospital to a larger hospital, which was about a thirty minute flight) You see, he got hit by a truck, thankfully a glancing blow as it swerved to miss him. It is believed the mirror clipped him. That road is a 55-mile-per-hour speed limit, so breaking and quick thinking saved his life. What was he doing on the road? I don't know what he was thinking. He happens to be aut... [Read more]

This is the blog I never want to write. In this blog, I tell of the passing of my Mother, my dear, sweet Mother. A week ago, she fell down some stairs at my sister's house and hit her head, cracked her neck, and bruised her arm and hip quite severely. She was taken to the hospital and stayed there until 8/16/2022 when she passed. The Doctor (after a week) discussed putting in a breathing tube and feeding tube and re-visiting her in a year. She wouldn't want that and had said as much i... [Read more]

Just finished the two day yard sale to get rid of some stuff. We ended it by sending a bunch of stuff to Yada Yada, but they were full up, we we headed out to good will. None of it trash, just not stuff we want to deal with any longer. Downsizing is good. I live in a small house in the woods and it is time to get rid of stuff. So, we had the yard sale in town and someone had a utv (electric! awesome!) and took my boy for a ride. Well, he jumps off during the ride and runs into a construction ... [Read more]

Plot Gage: exPLOiTable lanGuAGE Ok. This is me making a note of something I wrote that made me wonder what possessed me to write this. At the same time, go my possessor! I have been terrible at writing. Period. I think about it all the time. I write novels in my imagination even, but it doesn't really count. I get that. I think the point I need to act on is 'come up with a plan and write'. Write, write, write. Hello, world! So, I lost my streak in Microsoft Rewards like thre... [Read more]

Memorial Day tomorrow. Not a happy day, truly. Today, though, my oldest son is getting his graduation party. He isn't actually getting his diploma because is opted into a five-year High School program where he goes to college in his senior year and one year after and gets his associate's degree along with his diploma. Yay! Well, I have to keep cleaning and getting ready for church before the party. We rented a local restaurant for our party. It happens to be owned by my Wife's cou... [Read more]
Public Servants on track!
May 7, 2022 at 9:01am
Yesterday, my 15-year-old had a track and field day at his school. It was a special needs event and there were probably 20 -30 police officers and close to the same fire department volunteers there to help with the event. That was awesome! So, my boy takes the hand of one of the officers and leads him all around the place. He also won a couple of first-place medals! He didn't want to get out of the fire truck when they let him inside it. I was worried I was going to have to crawl inside and ... [Read more]

I laugh when it is not appropriate to cry. Those were my thoughts. Things compound, sometimes. I was taking food garbage to the compost pit and my pants were falling down and my greasy hands from the food couldn't pull them back up properly. I set something down and gravity pulled it to a lower position...laughable circumstances all, but I wanted to cry. The wife asked me why I was laughing and I told her. Of course, that was how her morning was also...... [Read more]

Easter! I am currently listening to a book called the Forge of Destiny. It was a free book. Enjoyable, though, even though filled with unfamiliar names that make it confusing at times. We did a small Easter Egg hunt after church today. It was fun. We made sure to count all the eggs so we wouldn't find them a year from now. All accounted for. Yay! I did talk to my Mother today on the phone for like an hour. She had something of a cold. Yuck. It was still good to talk to her. Mothers are... [Read more]

A Moth was found trapped in a cup and left on the stove this morning. There was writing on the cup, "RIP Benny". There was also a note saying he (my sixteen-year-old boy) found it in his room, and he was unable to kill it, and could not let it go because it would just come back into the house. Of course, his mother sees the cup and immediately lifts the cup up to look at it, which releases the moth. Obviously, she did not read the note. Though, yelling at me to rescue her, I g... Maybe, in the future, there might be the occasional eccentric individual who will stil read books, but there may be many who might never read a book; they won't need to read books.
