Review of We Had Never Met
Review by Lorna Dune
Rated: E | (4.0)
A really nice poem, I just wonder why you desided that you've never met?? It would work so much better if you did meet and this was a flashback to a time when love was new. But it is your poem and this is the romantic in me talking. Check out my Port for the way I look at love, you are welcome anytime.

Review of The Dance
Review by Lorna Dune
Rated: E | (5.0)
A wonder story!!!! I loved evey moment. Eugene, Oregon was a bit like that and so was Salem, Oregon where I grew up. I guess I learned to slow dance first, more the "Teddy Bear" really and nothing fancy, just holding each other to the slow music. I remember those times too, also the times when boy-men persuded me and I only loved a few.
Awe, those where the days.

Review of Summer and you
Review by Lorna Dune
Rated: E | (4.5)
"I'll never forget, i'm so glad we met" capitalize the I in 'I'll'. "As I Watch the sunrise" don't capitalize 'watch'.
I really loved your poem. You drew me in by the imagery and held me to the end, sad as she was that the summer love had to end. Keep up the excellent work.

Review of Scooba Dooba Do

Rated: 13+ | (4.5)
Oh My!! I guess a robot cleaner would not be in my future if I still had cats!!! A very intersting story, light and fluffy bath for the poor kitten! "More than clean floors" should be the ad for this one, since the robpt cleans pets as well. Hope Xanadu learned her lesson! I loved your story.

Great Quiz, spidey!!! I throughly enjoyed it. Some of the films I haven't seen in a very long time, but that dosen't mean it didn't give me some fond memories! Halloween will probably always be one of my favorite Holidays because you can dress up as what ever you want and have a great time being something else entirely. Keep up the good work.

Review of My love for you
Review by Lorna Dune
Rated: E | (5.0)
I am a hopeless romantic and I loved your poem! Your heart does ache when your love is not around. I wrote a story about mine "If I knew", Bob is who I waited for all my life, too bad he can't forget his past love, but I know he wants me around and I could not ask for more. Keep up the good work.

A wonderful story with a shocking ending until you remember the time it is set in. Mitzi's death would be said to be an honor, but the joy for everyone else would never heal the hurt the family must have felt. I know that girls were less than second-class citizens; they were thought of as gifts to Gods and men and their deaths necessary when called for. We have made some progress, but some of the old truths and beliefs still remain the same.

Review of CRAMER'S CAT
Review by Lorna Dune
Rated: E | N/A (Unratable.)
A fantastic story with such vivid imagrey I felt like I was one of the town's people watching this all happen. Cramer and his kitty made a perfect pair; both survivors of a horrible fire that took the lives of all they each had known and loved. How fitting that that cat never left his side. Also so very fitting that when Cramer died his cat stayed with him through the first night and then went to the Adams' store to get help so that Mr. Cramer could finally join his family. I am sure that Mrs. Adams made sure that when Kitty died the cat was burried next to the massive Cramer grave. Keep up the excellent work.

Review of Lavender Blue
Review by Lorna Dune
Rated: 13+ | (5.0)
Wonderful imagrey and emotions! Those lavender blues along with the good old demin jeans, how many memories do you all hold of the simplier, quieter times of just plan F U N!!!!! As life gets harder I miss those free times, a lot. I wish I could return when things always seems to run smooth and no this mess that 2007 has become.

You could add a little more emotion only because first love is so overwhelming and special. This is so close to being perfect as it is. Maybe one more stanza would do it. I really liked your imagery, it is great, just pack in the 'blow' first love bring and it will be great. Keep up the exccellent work.

A wonderful poem with great imagery. You express the love we feel for God; he will never put too much on our plate without being the fall-back position. He has strange lessons for all of us to learn and we will always have problems figuring out just why the lessons seem so hard to learn, but he is always at our side. Keep up the great work.

This is the perfect outlet for things I have always wanted to say!!! I love this contest/poll, but then I always thought I could write better fortune cookies fortunes than they did. LIfe is rich, and you always wait for the fortune, just like in the story you told, unfortunately this time it was a bad dinner followed by a worse fortune cookie fortune!! Love it.

My trouble was I like every kind of romance story except Harrliquien type stories with very little plot and just huge wishes. A romance needs to be from an everyday point of view, it needs to seem like it could really happen and it needs to be believable. Check out my port, I do have erotica, but I also have just adult romances too. Great poll.

Review of CONQUEST
Review by Lorna Dune
Rated: 13+ | (5.0)
A fantastic poem of never giving up until you have reached your goal. The mountain, like goals, is a very hard challenge. You must pick yourself up and try again, for reaching the top is the ultimate rush, of feelings of victory, the feelings of winning what you set out to do. Love is very much like the mountain, I love the imagry you used, you took me on a wild ride and I enjoyed every minute.

Review of CAPTURE A DREAM
Review by Lorna Dune
Rated: E | (5.0)
A beautiful poem! I loved every word, every thought. You do feel a wee bit nervous on your wedding day, you have to, are you making the right choice or not?? Only time will really tell. You must still reach for the stars and hold on to your dreams. As we all know there are people out there who find the forever partner, and who knows, this just might be the one. Keep up the excellent work. I loved every thought of your beautiful poem.

Review of Love Poem
Review by Lorna Dune
Rated: ASR | (5.0)
I loved your poem! It started dark, like a broken heart can make one feel. You have to harden your heart to the thought of love when you have felt the pain. But at the end you relent, and offer love an opening to come again. The story/plot was perefect, the words hold true meaning for those of us who have grown old to the ways of love. We have felt it and also felt the heart break, but there does come a time when you must open your eyes to new love, and then after you can open your heart. You did a really great job here, a beautiful, realistic love poem.

What a great poll! I would really like to know how your results stand at the end of the year for research type purposes, won't do anything with them, just would like to know. (Bach in Psy talking here.) The comparisons are great, even though I did fall into the first catagory since I have been a Stephen King fan for years. Keep up the great work!

I loved your imagry! You made me 'feel' the sun' rays touching my hand, the wind and the music playing! It has been a long time since I have read anything that made me feel like I was there, that it was me pumping the gas... I am going to check out your Port, keep up the Excellent work!

"all we had known
of death (was) phone calls
about distant relatives,
and roadrunner cartoons,"

Needs to be "were" because phone calls, relatives and cartoons are all purl so use were, not the singular was.
A wonderful poem, it really rocks the reader to their soul. You describe death as a noun, an entity that is both shocking and unnerving. You give death a life of its own and the reader can not help but be moved in the same way you and Sarah were. It was great. Keep up the great work.

Great tongue-in-check essay. I have one in my Port that I also did for the same reason:

I love satire and a laugh to boot. Very well done you got me to laugh and as we all know, it is "Laughter" that keeps the doctor away, not apples. Keep up the good work.

Review of TALL TALE
Review by Lorna Dune
Rated: 13+ | (4.5)
A very intersting story! I do like the unexplained happenings on the high seas. Guess I am like a lot of people, they love mysteries like the Bermuda Triangle and your story fits right in. You caught me on the very first paragraph and held me to the end, although a little scared along the way, fearing for the life of your hero. Keep up the good work!!

Review of Secret Love
Review by Lorna Dune
Rated: E | (4.5)
A very sad poem that points up to the fact that we are always better off to bear our souls and say "I Love You" before it is too late. To miss what might have been just to avoid being turned down is never the right road to follow. I liked the way you drew me in, told me about your experience and since I have been there I could feel your loss. Keep up the excellent work.

Did you mean backpack, not sackpack?? A wonderful story written by a very imanative 2nd grader! I loved that the dinosaurs always came to the boys rescue and that he did finally find the friends that where just waitin in his new school to invite him into their group. So hard to explain to children that not ever day goes well or that the first people we met just might be creeps. Have Brianna keep up the excellent writting!

Review of Memories Unmade
Review by Lorna Dune
Rated: ASR | (4.5)
I loved your poem. Just how many of us of passed the one 'meant just for them' and not seen them? This is a question that haunts us all. "What If?" You drew me in with the magic of your words and I was lost. You msde me think of the many "What If's" that I missed married to the wrong man for so many years. I have a really great guy in my life now, but I am always asking, "What if" we had met sooner, had kids... Neither of us could or did have any kids so it is a question that will have no answer.
I like your poem most for that, maybe others will look around them more and not loose what could have been the best person for them.

This must have been written after a nightmare! One a lot of us have had. Writers block would be better!. I loved your story and was just as happy with the ending, the pen getting even with the writer for using it as a murder instrument. As always, keep the horor stories coming.
