I like to read novels and biographies, so if I can review them at the same time, why not. My ratings are usually at the high end because I think if someone has taken the time and effort to write a large piece, it is an achievement. The review will give the opportunity to flag up typographic errors. I do not mark down ratings for these errors because they are easily fixed.

This part starts and ends with good descriptive action. It is a well thought out serial part that includes a pursuit by Charmian ending in a meeting that does not go too well. The unknown beast that attacks at the end could be the one that attacked the demon in his cave. This is one of my many favourite chapters in this story. Well-written and in my view, faultless.

Review of Part 67: Trespass

A good read again with a bit of action. I can't see why the GeeBee doesn't attack Chapi though.

A good well-written chapter. It starts off with interest but although I have been okay with the dream scenes up until now, the dreams part in this chapter seems difficult for me to understand. Later we get information about Simon and the necklace, which is a good piece. No errors noticed though and as usual, a good hook at the end.

Part sixty-five and the story still retains my interest. This part sees the group of characters set off on a quest for the benefit, I think, of Red Bird. When they get to their destination Red Bird makes a strange discovery which leads the reader into yet another very good hook ending. The writing remains very good and I noticed no errors or typo's.

A good part of the story here fills us with doubt as to whether Simon is good or bad as there are indications both ways. The gang set off for the crack for some reason to do with Red Bird. Lots of questions posed to the reader and the only way to find the answers is to read on.

A good title to this part, a bit cryptic perhaps. Another mysterious injury to a character near the woods. The finger points to Justin although there is dought because he has such a good nature. I am almost sure we are about to find out if he is the culprit, although this story is full of surprises. The line at the end is puzzling. What does he mean, I wonder?

Another well-written part with no errors noticed, but I seemed to get lost somehow. I have always managed to figure out what was going on before but this time it lost me somewhere and I had to read through it again to make sense of it all. Though it helped the second time, there seems to be a few puzzling bits which I am sure will become clearer as we go on.

The story keeps it pace and retains my interest from the start. I still would have left the GeeBee in the crack though.

The group enters a new location and although they are not made very welcome, the suspicious residents let them pass. The banter between Chepi and the GeeBee continues to cause a smile on my face. The final paragraphs bring a surprise to Charmian as well as the reader. It seems as if Charmian is beginning to realise her strengths. No errors or typo's noticed in this interesting part.

Yet another good part with an ending that ensures I will read on.

An entertaining part of the serial. It is quite funny in places which gives the reader a refreshing change to all the action and suspense. Having said that, the action returns at the end of the part and is equally as welcome to the reader, me.
Should Charmian have left the GeeBee in the crack? I think we are about to find out.

Another good chapter. More information is given and I find it confusing sometimes, although I think I am managing to keep on top of it.

An interesting part, but a different part. No action but an explanation very well put by the author without becoming an information dump. There is an explanation between three of them and I thought I would lose track of it but I managed to understand what was being revealed, just. I do like the way the action is portrayed in the story but it is good to have a break from it, like this, now and then.

A very clever and well-thought-out part. The way Chamian spoke to the Queen and later the demon made for very good reading as her character had to act in a different manor to both of them. I can't see how she can be of help to the demon, given his potential enemies, but I am sure it will happen and will be a thumping good read.

A different thread to the story takes us to a queen unsure of herself. The chapter is light-hearted and almost comical in places as Charmian talks down to her. At the end, the action returns as we see a fight between two creatures. Another entertaining read with no errors or typo's noticed.

What a chapter this is. I am used to the action and suspense but this one is brimming with all kinds of actions that kept me in suspense or even worried. Charmian is devasted by the news but things get worse as she appears to be abducted. A great piece to the serial and a skilfully handled end hook ensuring that the reader has to read the next part..

Review of Part 52: Standoff

A lot of action and a bit of a disaster at the end as Tal falls. Although I enjoyed this part, I had to read some of it twice as I was not sure who was doing what, but that could have just been a lack of attention on my part. The story makes me feel for the characters and I am hoping Tal is okay and really need to find out.

A good and interesting chapter and like a true serial part leaves the reader with unanswered questions. All such questions probably answered as we progress through the serial parts. This part also has a lot of action and ends with the usual good hook. No errors or typo's noticed.

I think this is one of the best parts. The thought I had earlier that most of them seem to be stories within a story still holds. The story seems to ring true given the category it is in and the suspension of disbelief works, perhaps with a bit of overtime though. Great chapter/part and hook.

Action and suspense returns with this part. Our heroine and her demon friend are pursued by a creature, probably the same one from the previous part. The writing is of the same high standard as we have seen since the start. The interest is held and the hook at the end again prompts me to read on.

After the interim. I suppose that the interim is the poem that proceeds the main text, sort of like an interlude at the cinema maybe. In any case, it is a good poem to start off with. Charmain sets off on one of her visits and is confronted by another strange creature, but the creature does not attack and goes off. I am sure we have not seen the last of it. A good interesting part.

A long but relaxing part. Still remains interesting and keeps the theme, I think, of a story within a story. Lots of friends in this part and no eneimies apart from the GeeBee. I still don't understand why she risked her life for the nasty evil creature, but it will perhaps come clearer later. Again I noticed no errors or typo's.

Another well-written and interesting part. This is marked as a serial and now I expect as a serial there will be good hooks at the end of each part. I have not been disappointed in that respect. I can't really understand why Charmian wants to save such a despicable creature as Augwak, maybe it's just the kind-hearted way she is, or maybe it is the only way to save Pomiere. Sad she has lost her demon companion Sikt but I am sure it will return.

I still think SW is the demon, but maybe the manitou would have sensed that.
