I like to read novels and biographies, so if I can review them at the same time, why not. My ratings are usually at the high end because I think if someone has taken the time and effort to write a large piece, it is an achievement. The review will give the opportunity to flag up typographic errors. I do not mark down ratings for these errors because they are easily fixed.

An epic battle starts with Charmian winding up both of her enemies. Firstly with attacks against her and then against each other. An exciting and well-written read with one of the enemies being killed and the other wounded so Charmian can escape. The end hook is also good as we wonder who is firing arrows at the friends. As usual, I spotted no errors or typo's.

Another action-packed part with Charmian managing to escape being killed by her ability to wind up her enemies.

Just when I thought it could not get any better. The suspense towards the end of this chapter is amazing. A brilliant piece of writing and where I have felt slightly confused at some of the earlier parts, this is crystal clear. The start is also good as we see the decline of the demon's spirit. But at the end, how will she deal with Mitchi who she has sought out and confronted?

Brilliant chapter. Very well penned and kept my interest as the story unfolds a little more and we see Charmian at her very best. It still seems a bit strange that she is only fourteen but I can co with that. One of my favorite chapters so far with a desire for me to read on.

This chapter seems to give an indication that the two newborns will lose their childhood for the benefit of the island. This by means of them becoming adults, I think. This is a good and entertaining part but I felt it could have been edited down just a little. Still a good and faultless piece though and I enjoyed the read.

An interesting and thought-provoking chapter. It seems as if this is a major move forward in the plot. Could this be the begging of the end or, as Churchill said, the end of the beginning. I also wonder if the meeting has had any effect on the brown demon. I look forward to finding out.

Review of Part 85: Clash

Justin to the rescue, as I think most readers would have hoped for. This is another good and well-thought-out part. The action and suspense is high as well as the emotion. This moves the story on and gives a hint of what may lie ahead. No errors noticed, as usual.

Charmain goes looking for those that she thinks are hiding something. Strange that she goes alone in such a dangerous place. When she meets up with them and confronts them things turn nasty and, as expected, Shadow turns into a demon. Charmian is in trouble and I wonder if she gets help just in time or whether she finds some hidden power to defend herself. A good chapter with no errors or typo's noticed.

A nice long and interesting chapter for the reader to enjoy. I remember now who Nathalit is, silly me. The small part where Chepi appeared was humorous and entertaining giving a light-hearted section to the story. Charmian enters the rainbow to talk to Nathalit but has to leave after a short while because of a problem outside. The problem looks serious and is hinted at but we need to read on to find out what is causing it.

I didn't see that coming and I should have because all the clues were there earlier in the story. As this part continues past the initial surprise, our heroine seems to become confused by the revelations that all her friends may not be what they seem. This is a good part and gives the reader plenty of scope to wonder what happens to prove the information right or wrong. One hiccup on my part: There are so many characters in this long story and I have forgotten who Nathalit is.

I did the review on the wrong part, 80, but copied it to 79. In this part (part79) we see the birth of the wolf-like twins. Although demons, the story follows through the lead up and the birth as a normal human type birth. Well-penned and I am sure it will be an interest to a lot of folk.

Our heroine is in a bit of despair as the heath of one of the main characters continues to deteriorate. No fighting in this part but still a lot of suspense and emotional thoughts. A good part of the story written to the usual high standard expected. No errors or typo's noticed and a reasonable ending to prompt the reader forward.

A light-hearted and entertaining part. It is a good thing to create chapters so the reader gets plenty of action and suspense. But just as important to give a break and show some humour, although Charmian does not see the funny side as much as the reader. A favourite part and no errors or typo's noticed.

This is another good part. It is extra good if the reader has read the story from the start as things start falling into place. Some answers are revealed to the reader. But at the end of the part, Charmian asks herself many questions which in turn prompts the reader to ask them as well. Where do we go from here is one? Only way to find out, of course, is to read on.

Plenty of action and suspense in this part. Charmian is becoming more skillful in the powers that will help her on her quest. It is hard to imagine, I think, that she is only fourteen years old as she seems to act more mature, but that is a minor point in this fantasy story. A good last few lines, as usual.

As I see it, and I could be wrong. This is a serial and therefore not a novel as it seems that there are lots of small adventures grouped together as we head towards the final act. As if every part/chapter is a story within itself but linked through a few main characters. We have had the training with Moon Wolf and now we have some extra training which will advance Charmian’s skills to complete her quest. This part was interesting, as usual, but she seems to be developing an attitude as the time goes on.

Following the fall, Charmian was saved from at best multiple fractures and at worst death, by the lost spirits, I think. Also an old friend Stick In The Dirt turns up from the earlier chapters. This is another good interesting read but I must say, the giant talking rabbit threw me a bit. I am sure I will soon get used to it though. No typo's or errors noticed.

I can't see how Sikt turned into Sikt-Justine. It either has not been explained or I missed something. Anyway, we are right back into the action parts of the serial and Charmian seems to go from once scrape to another. I wonder how she can escape from her latest encounter but will surely need help?

This part starts and ends with good descriptive action. It is a well thought out serial part that includes a pursuit by Charmian ending in a meeting that does not go too well. The unknown beast that attacks at the end could be the one that attacked the demon in his cave. This is one of my many favourite chapters in this story. Well-written and in my view, faultless.
