Oh, My! What a wonderful story! I read it on Shadows Express today. It was highly entertaining. I can imagine how, as a little kid you have acted in the drama giving it a more warmth by your silly, yet innocent actions. I read the story at a stretch. Normally I am lazy to read long short stories but I was impatient to see how yours end. You are a superb writer and I bookmarked your portfolio. Thank u very much for sharing your experiences with us. Hope to read more of your work in the future.

Very emotional. You have poured your heart out and we feel your loneliness by the loss of your beloved tree. You tell us why you treasure it so much. We come to know the loving deed of your great grandmother. She must be a very kind and thoughtful woman to do such a thing for her future generation. We can see how your past is involved with the tree and how it affects your thoughts and hopes. Finally you tell us your action of planting a new horse chestnut tree. The circle begins again. I truly like it.

I like your prose. It is full of imagery. I was there the whole time I read it. I experienced and saw all the happenings. It is very unique and excellent writing. but I feel that when you try to give different endings to the story some incidents do not match with the rest and it disturbs the smooth flow of the story. I don't know whether you have written this for a contest. But as a whole this is something rare among the many articles I have read in the writing.com. Honestly.

Your open admiration for your elder sister is clearly expressed in the poem. Whatever her imperfections are you love her as she loves you too. The reader can understand the narrator,s intention when she writes the poem. All the love, affection, admiration, respect and empathy are condensed in the poem. I like it very much.

What courage! I have to say that 'Life is not a bed of roses'. How marvelous you are to undergo such difficulties and surface without a scratch. You are lucky to have a very determined mother to push the life of her son forward and pull him out of the mud. My hats off to her! You made me ashamed of myself by describing your problems, both physical and psychological and letting us know that you had the strength to face all the discomforts and challenges and lead a normal life now.(I don't know how it is with u now and hope you manage well.) Thank u for sharing your story and guide us through the dark.

very moving indeed! I don't know how u managed to work in that ward, day in and day out looking at those passive eyes knowing well that they are not going to make it.but that is life and we think we are saved. No we are not. Your article clearly reminds us that life is fickle. A very moving story and the presentation is excellent.

What an inspiration.I found it very heart warming as I too belong to her category. though she has excelled in her work. It's very trying to be a teacher for slow learners as you must always maintain your patience and understanding for your students. Though I have read about her for the first time I feel that she has set an example to all of us.Thank u for letting me read such a good article.

A very colourful poem. I like colours very much and your poem created a colourful scene in front of me.The sun set in a slepy little village with its simple folks and in contrast to the scene, the symbol of modern technology, the tower looms over the tiny village like a bird spreading its wings. I like the words'apricot sky' very much. It's very very beautiful and unique.

Very true. I felt like that I wrote it for my 25 yr old son.You very emotionally express your concern for your children and I completely agree with u.Whatever happens they are still our children and we feel that they need our assistance and eagerly waiting until they turn to us for help 'eagerly stretching our arms out.

A very heart warming story. I feel the concern of the writer and his dad for the innocent bird.Even animals feel our true intention and I think that was why the bird kept silent when the writer's dad tried to rescue it. The bird got a chance to live but as the result of careless people he may have become a cripple. The story was highly interesting and the words have created the whole scene inf
front of me while I read the story.Your writing is highly creative and wish u luck with your writing.

It was highly informative and this is the first time I have come to know about this disease. Your lengthy but highly comprehensive description of the disease made me realize how hard it is for a person with bipolar to lead a normal life. What seems to be very easy for us seems very very difficult for a patient to do. Many terms you have used in the article is unfamiliar to me but it did nothing to understand the condition of a bipolar patient. I am happy to see your perseverance, endurance and courage to face the disease and how you have accepted it objectively Actually you are a very brave person and I salute u for your inner strength and may your life be an example to others.

very good advice. I too want to practice it because I know my writing lacks it. As you say there is only one thing to do, that is practice and practice.

Very nice and very useful advice.Yes . I accept what you are trying to say.We all are reluctant to change our writing because we have shed tears and spent many sleepless nights with them. When one suggests to change some thing in it I for one grit my teeth. That is inevitable. There are very good points you try to remind us and I think we must follow them if we want to be successful one day as writers.

Yes. It's terrible even to think about. The millions of souls are tortured, burnt, operated alive and subjected to indescribable agony and pain. Your story gives a clear insight to the pain and anxiety the child is subjected to. The unbearable separation from other human beings! Those mass killings will haunt us as long as the human race survives on earth. Your story brought back all those horrible memories. This was written with passion and I like it very much.

It's a very beautiful poem. How strong your love towards her! The complete understanding between man and woman is clearly defined by the words used in the poem. You say that the lov is divine but it ends physically and that is common to all of us. Your life is moulded by her and you are highly proud of her as you should be!

Though I have read similar stories so many times it didn't make me stop reading your story half way because you have bound me to your story with your clever narration style and apt words. You show the talents of a good writer. The suspense and fear left to feel at the end of the story makes the reader to contemplate on it even after reading it.I am not writing this just to earn GPs but honestly I like your story. That is why I read the whole story irrespective of its length.

Review of Flowers for Mom

I like your poem very much. The love, innocence and gratitude all are mixed in your writing and the reader can sense it. A young child who worships his or her mother without any special reason picks flowers for the mother. The hard labour, the act includes is explained in the words'grass has left its mark on tiny knees.'.It's a lovely poem and I want to know how you included tiny flowers in the poem.

I like it very much. You express your strong bond with your animal friend and it's heart warming. The end rhyme is quite fascinating and the words flow smoothly giving more meaning to the poem. Actually it's truly charming to have a bird like that and I think for me it will be quite an experience.I am hoping to read more of your poems later. Good luck.

It's really beautiful, heart catching, adorable, nostalgic and heart-felt story. I know how you feel about your grand father because I too went fishing with my grand father when I was 10-11 years old. Though it was another kind of fishing I can visualize the scene and it's very warming feeling.
Your language is really interesting and it flows smoothness and I wanted to read more. You have selected the exact words to describe exact feeling and I think you have the talent of an inborn writer. You were able to show us your close and intimate relationship with your grand father and we can see that you still cherish those past memories. I respect you for that. by the way I am glad to know that you are 54 years old because I am 53 .

How nice! I wish that I too can write like you. It needs constant attention and dedication to commit to a thing like that. Sometimes we tend to be selfish and we think only about ourselves. So you have done a great job and without doubt your hubby should be really proud to have a wife like you.

how true you are. We forget our past and deals with every day life and then suddenly the past comes before our eyes in an unexpected moment. L ike the poet says we put ourselves in the dark and continue life.Old friendships, past treasures, sentiments which we admire are put away and becomes the things of past. Then suddenly when you see them again all the past memories crowded back and you are nostalgic for those moments in your life. I like the lines

'Smiling sepia faces return
my stare, puncturing time's veil
and releasing a warm flow of memories.'
very much. They are universal in truth.
