What I liked: As someone with bipolar disorder this touched me in ways you can not imagine. While I am writing this I am holding back tears, and I have goose bumps on my arms. The format was perfect and said spoke just as loudly as the words on the page. I don't hand out five stars unless a story really touches me, and this did.
What I disliked: I am trying to find something I dislike about it, but to be real honest I feel over protective of this piece because of the subject matter. So I can't think of anything.
Thank you so much for writing this so people understand how it feels to have racing thoughts you can not catch. While people stare at you trying to figure out what is wrong with you.
What I liked: The descriptive parts of the story was wonderful. "I tried to reply, but my soul shivered with fear and my eyes wouldn't open so I could face him, I wanted to, it's not that.
Imagine someone wrapping a blanket around you, tight, almost as if you were a corpse ready to be dumped in a lake, and then... someone whispers to you from the darkest corners of your mind, what would you have done?" This was my favorite part all together. I love the dark edge to it , because that is what I am in too.
What I disliked: The subject matter seems a little played out. I feel like I have read this story before. It also does not seem finished, but I know it was meant to be a short story so I am not holding that against you.
With that said I loved reading it. You are awesome at painting a bright picture. I will give you a 3.5, but would probably give you a higher rating for another story.
What I liked: Well the whole story really. I love the narrative tone. I loved the story all together sounds like the start of great story. I would love to hear more, because you know her son will either accidentally break that promise or purposely break it.
What I disliked: Not much really. In the middle it seamed to drag a little but it was well worth it. I am giving it a 4.5 for that reason, but honestly I think it could give it a five if some of the descriptions were a little more original.
I would read more if you write more. Keep up the good work.
