This poem is very philosophical about life and what was left behind by the author. I consider it very touching.

We always leave a few tracks in the sand. The internet tends to be like taking a walk on the seashore. We leave many footprints although most of them disappear due to the work of the wind, rain and surf.

C'est la vie.

Review of The Album

That was an interesting memoire. It left me wondering what the fighting was all about. It seemed so one sided when presented in this piece.

Photo albums are wonderful reminders of the past and in a way they are almost sacred as far as the owners are concerned. Still, every time I more, some of my own photos get tossed.

C'est la vie.

Alas, I happen to be a certified prude and therefore not able to fully appreciate this particular piece of humor as much as the content would otherwise merit. It reminds me of the old standby we had as kids:

"Beans, beans, the musical fruit. The more you eat, the more you toot."

C'est la vie.

Congratulations, Hooves of Fire. The Irish National soccer team has already entered a bid for your hide. With luck, you untamed skin will be thoroughly conditioned in time to allow you to participate in the World Cup for soccer.

Please do us a favor and supplement this "before" picture with one that shows your hide soaring over the field as the crowds cheer and all the players race after you.

Review of Prayer 101
Review by humorous_sage
Rated: E | (4.5)
`One thing I like about prayer is that you can have a conversation with God and remain non-sectarian.

The Hebrews did religion a favor by consolidating all of their Dieties into a single entity. That enabled their followers to save lots of time previously spent trying to figure out which god to talk to.

As the Spanish might say, "Vaya con Dios."

"I’ll be your rock, your truth, your trust
but never your doormat
don't walk over me, and I won't step on you"

It looks to me that this poor guy is about to strike out. From my limited experience, when a swain starts making threats, he is digging his own grave with a bulldozer.

Review of Poetic Insanity

This pseudo genre seems to be a little different from others I have been exposed to.

Did I make a proper entry? Or is this something that takes a little time to bend, comprehend and up end? It might take me a try or two to find our but it seems to be worth the try.

Hi:

Poor centipede. My heart crys out for him. It sounds like the pede and I have a lot in common. I too have a problem with thinking about two things at a time. It is a good thing that I learned to type without thinking -- or I would really be lost.

Keep up the good work. You helped me start out the day with a smile.

You create wonderful word pictures that I find very interesting. I, however, am continuously baffled by the free verse form that you use. It is very hard to evaluate material when you don't have "rules" to use when judging. Maybe I am missing the point. Maybe free verse is like "Outback Steak House." No rules!

Being quite new to this site, I am at a loss as to what I should be rating since I did not find a poem, story, or any other material that I was able to critique. Therefore, I am trying to submit this message in hopes that someone will fill me in. Being a newcomer, I am easy to confuse.

Oops. My critique bounced. I guess I should select a rating and hope that it is not completely our of line.

I fear that I am a hard man to keep happy. I really liked this posting until I came to the part that was colored pale blue against a background of blue. Being an oldster, I had to strain my eyes to read that part of the posting. Please take pity on us oldsters and provide enough contrast for us to see the material without bumping our noses against the computer screen.

Other than that minor comment, I'd say: "keep up the good work."

I consider this item both meaningful and useful. I am a new member and need all of the help I can get. My greatest need is in the area of trying to understand this web site. In that area, this information provides me with a lot of the assistance that I need. However, I still feel like a lost soul in this maize. Vaya con Dios
