Your short story teeters at comedy. Although I do not write comedy, your story did make me laugh at two people who are either enemies or friends...keep it up...

St. Patrick's Day is one of Ireland's customary holidays, honoring the saint, with limericks and parades and fun and enjoyment, and drinking. In the USA, this holiday has become one that is celebrated with parades, music, and dancing...

This is a story about two people; a woman and a man, who are thrown together apparently because of the mystery of the place they have both chosen to spend time, away from their own side of the globe. The mystery of the place has affected both of them, of course... However, it seems that both have now realized that they were thrown together because of their decision to stay at a mysterious place.

Although there are a few errors in grammar, the effect of the mysterious place seems the very thing that may in the final analysis bring them together...

To the author, I do believe you have the knack to tell a story...

"The Minds of Trees" is a story of two people who think they need lots and lots of money so that they can grow more trees. It is a grand gesture and a great idea with regard to making "our earth" and "our land" a better place to live in, especially when it reminds us of the many ugly "things" that are destroying "our earth". "Plant more trees" became the echo that seemed to remind us that "our earth" need its people to be more serious in keeping "our earth" a good, clean place to live in; therefore, a "healthy" place for people to enjoy life in its fullest.

I would like to give the author 160 GPs for his effort to bring this idea to the attention of readers like me.

I can totally agree with the author of "We Live in a World..." although I think our world not only "needs to be fixed" but should be overhauled completely... We, humans as we are, are in this world; and what we have done is we have gone and did it our way; we have (and we absolutely believe) that what we are doing is the right thing. We have gone our way merrily doing what we think is best for who we are; we are what we are, and no matter what others say, we stand on what we think we can do, say, believe, whatever moves the human that we are...

The author has all these questions, and the answers are really out there; the only thing we are doing is that we are just looking and asking; not doing at all...so to the author, for what you have written, I would like you to have 195 GPs...

In life, we all have come to believe that when we pass away, we are able to see what happens to the loved ones we leave. And with this short story, the author seems to believe on that idea of seeing himself and guiding the only person he loved and left behind, to be strong... It is a matter of belief, after all... Interesting, indeed...

Review of WHAT YOU SCATTER

To the author of "What You Scatter", here's to you and the good deeds you wrote about. Indeed, there are times when we pause at all the busy days we go through, remember the good things we see exhibited by "young people", and the many good hearts of the elderly... You have caught the very nature of people; human beings who are true to their humanity; and more people who have the heart to understand the plight of those who are needy...Here's hoping to read more of your work as you continue with your writing; and for that, how about 170 GPs for your good effort?

All good wishes,

To the author of "A Binary Star": you wrote it quite nicely, with words that are simple and descriptive. Writing a poem takes a lot of hard thinking, and as you have written it, seems to me, a nice and simple way about hope... for your writing, how about 100 GPs for your effort?

Quite an unusual way to remember someone: a handkerchief. This short piece from the author does tell a reader the depth of love that one has to a departed Grandma. There is the search for something that would be most appropriate for remembering; and to choose a handkerchief is not at all unusual. It just shows that the granddaughter wanted her Grandma with her throughout her life...

To the author, you do write well; do continue to write more...and for that, here are 130 GPs for the entertainment...

To the author of "A Blossoming Flower", your piece is quite interesting. You have written about flowers that are fragrant, loving, kind...things that readers would interpret as the beauty of a "write". Well done, and may all your writing continue to be absorbed by readers...

How about 255 GPs for your effort?

Isn't it great for the author of "Being A Hermit Ain't That Bad" to remind readers (like me, especially) that it is one's privilege to do what one wants to do? Writing is truly a good way to "influence" people because it is one's privilege to do as one wants. No matter what others may think, writing is one way to bring out the best out of one's thoughts and experiences... So to the author, do write more and continue to give meaning to what you are writing about...

This short story sends a message to people who read it. Just like Mr. Voelker, who was either a cynic or someone whose life has not experienced the love of a brother... It is rather sad that there are people like Voelker whose heart and mind are focused on "hatred", on anger that seems to keep them without a heart... Thank you to the author of the story; do continue to let us read more of goodness and love...

How about 200GPs for you?

Do exactly as Sheridan Lockwood did: he shared his laughs, his tears; however, he did not say what sort of troubles and adventures he had. Did he meet with a lion that ripped his head off? Or did he cry out loud, quietly, or how?

I am dying to know....

Hi, there, author of "Tragedy Heartbreaking in Aare Swiss". Now that you have written that the river in the swiss is beautiful, is the river yellow or red or purple? is it flowing slowly or running wild? is it as wide as the ocean or as narrow as a stream?

Review of For my mother

To the author of"For My Mother", you have written something that is close to my heart: all about "Mother". It is indeed a tribute to one's mother, loving and respectful words that bring to the surface the love of a daughter to her mother.

In many ways, mothers are the one person in the universe who deserves the honor, to be talked about, to write about, and to love and respect. In as much as we love and respect fathers, I believe that mothers deserve the honor most of all...

So to the author, write some more about mothers because they do deserve all the honor and love from daughters and sons.

I have learned a long time ago that mermaids do exist; that is, if you can spot them. This short sketch about Paddy and his mermaid is fun to read. It reminds of the saying, "believe it or not" because to the Paddy it maybe real but to a reader? I truly do not know...

Anyhow, the author wrote it out of an inspiration...Good for you, author; carry on with more something out of the ordinary...

Review of Thank you

To the author of "Thank You", I, too, would like to thank you for the good things you said about our "veterans". Indeed, the words are not enough to let veterans know how people, not to mention their families, are forever grateful for their sacrifices. Veterans are truly people who deserve honor and respect as well as the honor attributed to them for their willingness to fight in the wars; to leave their family and loved ones for the love of their country; to sacrifice their lives so that those of us, who are not veterans, should continue to live free.

Well done, continue to write more...

To Rob Henderson, you are quite normal as far as I can read from your writing. The ghosts of whatever you see or feel or make you depressed and wanting are mere images of a conscience, do you know that? Whatever thoughts of failure or pain that you have or believe you feel are mere "thoughts" that need to be discarded... You are a human being; and humans like you have got something that is called, spirit; that strong sense of belief in a God, whose wisdom and guidance you now need...

You should write more...

Review of Inner Doubts

Hey, there, author of "Inner Doubts": do not concern yourself about all the "doubts" that are now flying around in your brain. Those are mere little thoughts that give you booster so that you can produce a piece of writing that a reader or readers would admire, understand and become fans of what you write. Writers begin writing because they can produce a tale, a poem, an article or any kind of writing that others learn to read and enjoy. Write what your thoughts/ideas tell you, and you will know that you are a good writer...

Do not "feel for people" because they do not have pets. You should, however, feel for people who actually are as human as you are because they probably think and believe that pets need to belong with their own "animal" group, and should not be handled and doted upon and petted by people... Maybe you should write more about pets, let people without pets realize that pets are the answers to their need for "technicolor" in their lives...Yahoo for you...

Review of Just Dreaming

To the author of "Just Dreaming": good for you because now you have realized that "compromise" and "consensus" are "dirty" words that do not belong in any conversation. If you must remember, you are talking about humans with human emotions, human thoughts, humanity within their veins. The "disunity" and "fanaticism" are but only two words that truly and really incapsulate the humans of this world. What is happening really is that "we" have matured to the reality of "ourselves": mere humans whose thoughts, ideas, and "fanaticism" as you call it are truly and in reality mere words that do not mean anything at all... However, do not despair because as a writer you are somewhat leading other writers to think more of the "humanity" that runs through all our veins...

Review of In love

Well, then, author of "In Love", what do you intend to do about your love? Have you told him? Sure, you should at least let him know that there is "you" and that he should appreciate you. However, I would suggest that should you find that he is already attached to someone else, that you do not go crazy and hang yourself... Love will always restrain you from doing something that may hurt you; you know that, don't you????? So, carry on "loving"; it never hurts...

Do I detect from the author of "Gettin' Old Is Not For Sissies" that she/he has no intention to get "old"? Wow, and wow again; we do get old, you know; and the despair of dentures, etc, is just one of those things. Otherwise, you will never know nor taste the beautiful experience of showing to people the beauty of peeling an apple, or using a sharp knife to peel the corn from its ears...

Carry on writing....
