A Christmas poem my mother wrote on family at Christmas. (Published 2001)
Our Family, The Choir

How I love this Christmas season
as my heart fills with all the feelings
of joy and laughter, peace and love!
The greatest gift from up above.

Sparkling, glistening, pure white snow
A myriad of snowflakes upon my nose.
Rolling snowballs to make a friend
I hope the magic never ends.

Creamy hot chocolate is so delicious
even Mom’s cookies are somewhat nutritious.
Snuggled together, curled up by the fire
singing old carols: our family, the choir.

Joy overflows the depths of my heart,
aware that soon, once again we’ll part.
The special moments of Christmas’ past
have powers beyond that forever will last.
