Poetry written to give hope and promise.
Why bring a baby upon this earth?
I heard someone question at your birth.
This world filled with war, disease and strife.
Why would anyone bring forth new life?

'Tis not so, my heart cried out in me
For new birth brings opportunity,
To change what’s wrong in the world today,
And lead us all toward a better way.

God didn’t promise life free from pain,
But He did give us hope, not in vain.
For He sent His son, the Prince of Peace
To abide with us and give release

From the fear of what tomorrow brings
Violence and hate, and all evil things,
To give us life, for eternity’s sake
With Him in Heaven, a choice we make.

Our tenure on earth, part of His plan,
A measure of time, a minute span.
Our entire destiny He'll unfold,
When He deems right for us to be told.

Little one, when you’re ready to be
A wife with a wish for a fam'ly.
Please don’t think twice about giving birth
Because of conditions here on earth.

Promise of eternal life shines bright
To all that are born into His light.
Remember there’s more than what we see
We will have all of eternity.
