It's about the faith, of hoping despite all the darkness that there is this ember of hope.


Candle flickering in the dark

A beacon of light in this dark abyss

Will sorrow find me in this dimness?

Or will death creep to me slowly

Like a phantom, and struck me suddenly

Feeling no pain and only my last thought will be

How lovely the flames dance

Atop the candle, giving me

A shard of light in this dark – dark abyss

Of life’s lonesome sorrow of emptiness
