Discussion question answer.
The prewriting phase of essay writing includes choosing a general topic and then narrowing the focus of that topic by breaking it down into points that are more specific. I believe prewriting is very important to the success of an essay because it assists in planning and organizing your thoughts and ideas so that the final draft will flow in a manner that is easy for the reader to follow. A topic must meet the assignment’s purpose and audience, therefore prewriting strategies may help eliminate irrelevant or inappropriate material for these requirements. Additionally, the prewriting phase may seem like a strenuous process that requires a lot of time and intellect; however, this step is essential and will decrease the amount of time you spend writing, revising, and editing later.
