100 word newbie short story.
I was standing in the church; nobody knew I was there, not a single glance in my direction. I had gotten used to it, since that terrible night. It had first come as a shock, but I had begun to accept my being.

The casket was open, the occupant appearing asleep; I had a sudden urge to giggle. Yeah, I'm pretty messed up.

Someone had done a fine job with the makeup, and Mum had chosen a really stunning dress. Black chiffon with a lace overlay, it made the ivory skin appear even paler.

I really did look good.
