Ha! My mother was SO funny. After all the rehearsing and the dinner, we went back to the auditorium to start decorating and getting everything put up. The unity candle table and the arch Robbin was going to decorate and put on the platform for them to stand under....

The groom's mother and three of her friends decided to crash the party and proceed to take over and try to decorate it to their satisfaction. I was afraid that would happen but as much as she tried to talk me into it in the weeks before and as many times as I told her that we had it handled...I was a little surprised that she brought all her friends and tried the coup.

My mother handled it. It was funny, really. I was already to the point of snapping, but mummy settled it pronto. She marched right up to them on the platform, and with every comment they made, she firmly said. "Diane has that handled!"

*Laugh* After about ten tellings they wandered off and left us alone. *Smile* The rehearsal...now that was a minor disaster in and of itself. I'll fill in all the details later. Just wanted to hop on and settle the nerves. I don't think they are going to settle. *Pthb* By five this evening I should be at least halfway through my list. The flower girl had 101 degrees fever last night and was quite cranky, and one of the bridesmaids never showed up last night. AUGGH!

the wedding begins in 57 hours and I have a million things I still need to get done. Some are wedding related...last minute things that I need to get done. Some are house related things that I need to get done. Some little like laundry so house guests can dry off after showers and not shake like a dog. Some major, like re-arranging a whole room so I can get an oxygen tank in place for Gary's grandmother to breathe. A million things and even if you divide that by 57, the sum result is still 'me screwed" so why am I sitting here doing nothing on my list? <sigh> Because I am addicted to shooting myself in the foot. *Bigsmile*

I am in a bit of a quandary. My procrastination has reared its ugly head and I've no notion of which way to go. Being as it's almost 2am and I am up wide awake pondering the decisions of my daughter and how I can best help her survive them, it dawned on me that I forgot about my hair.

I dyed it red about a month and a half ago and now it has grown out a bit and my brown roots are showing. What to do, what to do? Ashley told me that she doesn't mind if I have red hair in her wedding pictures, but I was going to re-dye it this past weekend so it had time to tame down a bit before the wedding. In all the brouhaha, I forgot about it. As always with dyed hair it needs about a week to tone down and not look so shocking. I am currently at four days until aisle time so this is the problem. Do I just leave it as half-assed and grin and bear it, or do I re-dye and let it shine awkwardly at the wedding?

Maybe I should shave it off and dress in sack cloth and ashes. It seems amazingly appropriate.

Where is Marv when I need her blunt-ass opinion. Asleep, and probably with a back rub to boot. *Pthb*
