Will contain random crap which may or may not be interesting. I don't do too many interesting things, so, i will probably write about things that other people, who I have never met and who may or may not be real, are doing. Also, cats, and science, and beer, and metal. |
| The first day of the challenge! alright, here we go! haha todays prompt is: "If you had to decide between the two, would you rather forget all of your memories or never be able to make new ones?" I would almost certainly chose to lose all my memories. not being able to make new memories sounds just terrible. There are several documented cases of anterograde amnesia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anterograde_amnesia#Famous_cases and all of them sound terrifying to me. imagine waking up every morning wondering how you got where you are, having to relearn where everything in the house is, or who people are... everything. Watch the movie Memento for an example of that... And though the first option is also terrible, the ability to learn things remains. You can rediscover all your friends, and research your past and things you've done, or even become a new person if you want. see shows and movies and hear music for the first time again... wouldn't be as bad! to put it shortly, i'd rather live in the future than in the past. |

| was listening to some pop music today, and i realized that i was listening to laser sounds and people singing with robot voices! this has to be what sci fi writers must have imagined the music of the year 2011 to be.. i will look at modern music in a different light now.. |
| i have bought a laptop. it should arrive in the mail in a few days. now my addiction to the internet can be satisfied while still leaving the house! i played some magic this weekend.. and won, finally. and started a new dnd game, hooray :) i took the weekend off even though i was supposed to work.. cause screw the man! haha. writing very slowly and uninspiredly.. hopefully i will pick up the pace soon. re reading clash of kings slowly also, so good! maybe i can finish the series before next season starts next year... |

i dont know what it means, really, or how to win. but i will be updating my blog a lot more often! and probably with loads of inane crap. so, be prepared :P also, i think ive finally settled on an idea for gary's contest... even though i've said that like 5 times already, i think this time it's for real! now... i just need to write it... |
| been playing lots of magic, and tonight i just made a character for a new dnd campaign, woo, haven't played in so long. it's giving me lots of fantasy ideas... started rereading clash of kings, so i can remember what the hell is going on before the new season starts. not doing much other than working... a few more weeks then back to normal, i hope... |
| spent a large chunk of my free time today with a nap. cant call it a waste of time cause it felt damn good! been writing a lot for my fantasy novel idea, but still yet to start on gary's story :/ got a lot of sort-of ideas though! and thanks so much jannie for the review package from "Showering Acts of Joy Group"  !! also this song has been stuck in my head for days http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UqmgpuZLsXQ wish i knew what they were saying! |

| was sitting at my desk at work today when i looked out the window and saw a man climbing in a tree. really high. like, probably 50 feet up at the top of this tree. no one knew who he was or what he was doing. no harness, or anything like that, just straight climbing. after a couple minutes he climbed back down and left. looked like fun. |
| well i wrote something for the cramp. I didn't win, but people seemed to like it :) also, one of my old ideas for a character has been growing... it might get big enough to be a novel outline...
