Now, down to the focus of my blog. *ponders and wrinkles brow* There is none.

I plan on talking about anything and everything that is wierd and happens to cross my mind at the time. Some moments may seem pretty sane, but they will quickly be interrupted by things much less normal, things that may make you cringe, clamp your jaw tight and make sure your belt buckle is still cinched.

Anyway, on with the ... ramblings. *Laugh*

I went as a leader with the youth group to Cedar Point Tuesday, a large, relatively local amusement park. It was a great time to be outside and having fun with the kids. They all seemed to have a great time being out and having a light, fun time for the day.

Usually I will ride coasters at an amusement park, but I was not in the mood to do so yesterday. For whatever reason, it turned out to be a good thing since I was able to have fun with the kids who were not as thrilled about some of the bigger rides, and I could hold some of the stuff that everyone had and did not want to take onto a ride.

It was definitely a great day. I had a wonderful time with the kids and I also had a great time with it being a day off work. *Laugh* It's always nice to change up the regular work schedule.

I am addicted to this television series that shows on Sunday evening. It is called Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. It is not really the show that has me, it is what the show is about that amazes me.

Click the link below and take a look.

I don't think I have a desire to write right now, and I do have a couple contests I need to write for. The one I am in is on the fourh and final round, and it is also a round for comedy, which I am not the best at. So, right now, I am not really at a starting point for that entry which is due this coming Tuesday.

This month I took off from a larger contest so I could work on some stories that I need to egt started. Well, I have not gotten them started and don't feel like I know when they will get started. I guess time will tell.

In the rest of my life, there are so many things that need to be worked on that I am feeling a little intimidated by the list. Normally, though, everything ends up getting finished, but while in the midst of the to-do list everything looks like it will never end. *Laugh* But, I know it will eventually.

Have you ever read a story where the words seemed to just roll off your tongue?

Have you ever read a poem that painted such a clear picture of events unfolding that you could just feel that you were there?

Well, here is your chance to write a story, written as a poem, no matter what form you choose, and you could win some nice prizes, let alone having the chance to write an impressive story.

Here is the contest I am referring to. I encourage anyone who reads my blog to take a chance and see what you come up with. And, if you don't have time to write a new poem, you can enter an older one.

Good luck to everyone who enters!

I was just watching a television show instead of working on the poem I just started.

And ... wow!! I was shocked, and a bit light headed!

I can deal with gore when I expect it in movies, though I tend to watch movies that have minimal gore in them. I prefer the ones that have a more psychological scare to them.

Well, this television show stepped over that edge of what I can deal with, and it was on prime time television, the time when so many young children are watching. Why?

Sure, adults may not have a problem with such shows, and sure, it is just done with makeup and special effects, but come on.

Oh well...

I guess I am just getting older.

I think people should be allowed to make choices of what they watch, but I think, along with that, adults do have a responsibility to care for those younger.

Just take a moment to see what the younger people see all the time, then think about what happens from it all. The mind can be a scary thing and will feed on what it takes in.

I am so insignificant when it comes to a few things in life... well, pretty much one thing. God.

I was just floored at church today. It was not a typical sermon for our church, and our typical ones are not normally typical compared to most church I know of.

34 West, a theater/drama group who does plays and skits for the church and other local organizations, did the sermon. We watched a play for church today. It was a bunch of snapshots from the lives of two of Christ's disciples, Peter and Andrew. The guys did an awesome job, and made it really clear what it probably felt like to be in their place, with a man who would be the beginning of a whole new view of God and faith.

One thing that hit me the most was how they were able to make it believable that the disciples were probably just as awe struck and sometimes terrified by the things Jesus was doing. The got my mind to thinking about the little conversations that may not have made it into the Bible, but were probably there, how they were good friends and how they really did support each other like great friends always try to do.

The whole thing left me feeling like there was a whole lot more to this who Christianity thing and that they probably had the same fears and doubts that I do. I also can see why they followed this man, Jesus, and that the things they were learning were just as unclear to them until they saw some proof.

Another thing that hit me was how they knew this guy they followed actually loved then and relied on them. And, after everything is said and done, the love from Jesus is what the whole point was.

So, I am feeling a little insignificant right now, but not in a bad way. I just feel that God really is watching out for me. Why me, I am not sure, but He is, along with everyone else.

Well... I need to get out an do some mowing, so I am going to do some thinking also and see what else I figure out.

... after I get something to eat, of course. *Laugh*

51. I like Chinese food. For the longest time I was so very picky when it came to eating foods I was not sure about, and Chinese food was one of them, but I have learned to try new things. Next on my list to try is yogurt.

52. I am sort of organized. I tend to keep some things in good order, like my collections of books, Magic: The Gathering cards and my comics. Other things are in loosely organized piles, yet I know how to find what I need.

53. I like to write letters, though I don’t do so very often. It is just a nice feeling to send something in the post and have that anticipation of knowing I may touch the person who receives the letter.

54. I own a manual, non-electric typewriter, and use it too.

55. I like to ride my bicycle. I have not done so in a while, but it is very calming to be out and moving on it.

56. I own a hammock. Now I just need to get it set up in the back yard.

57. I am a good GM. If you know roleplaying games, you will know what I mean.

58. I also put the toilet seat down when finished.

59. And, wash my hands before leaving the bathroom.

60. I am a tactile person. I love textures and sensation.

61. I do have a large personal space, though. I don’t let just anyone into my personal space. I am not the best at hugs unless I know you very, very well. Like I said, my family is not very close and it is a rare thing for hugs to go around with family members, so if you are one I do hug, you will know you are trusted very well.

62. I wear my heart on my sleeve. I know it can get me hurt, but I would rather be easy to be open with friends than be distant and not really get to know them.

63. I like to be artistic. When I used to play roleplaying games a lot more than I do now, I used to also paint miniatures for the games.

64. Mapping is another thing I enjoy doing. Not maps of real places, but maps of places in my mind. They are similar to the maps found in fantasy novels and such.

65. I have made a pact with myself to have no regrets. For a long time I have lived off of the regrets I had and it was very draining. Now, I don’t plan to let regrets consume me. What is in the past is in the past, and what happens from now on, happens as it does.

66. In addition to that, I do like to be prepared for situations that may come up. I don’t go overboard with this, but like to know that if the most likely situation comes up, I have a solution or recourse for it.

67. I enjoy being out in the wilderness, and have a great time geocaching, which is using a GPS device to locate containers hidden by other people for that purpose. It is better than just going out for a hike with no goal or anything. It makes for a fun time if you have a friend with you.

68. I am a solitary person. I am just as comfortable being by myself as I am with other people, usually more so when by myself.

69. Um... yeah... *Blush*

70. I like using smilies or context description in my online conversations. *Wink*

71. I have been learning to like my appearance.

72. I like music of many different styles though there are a few I really find hard to like. But, I will give new music a chance to grow on me.

73. I am a movie fanatic. I love everything from modern movies to films from the silent era.

74. I have a driver’s tan. I am not sure that is a good thing, but it does prove that, if I wanted to get a tan, I could, though it would be a light one.

75. I want a nice quiet future with a partner who has similar likes and dislikes as me, along with being able to put up with my goofiness.

76. I am a boxers guy, thanks to the urging of a friend.

77. There are a few journals and blogs around w.c that I really enjoy reading.

78. I am getting into a habit of writing something everyday, but it is not easy. Thanks to my blog with reminders, I am pushed to post at least a little something.

79. I never used to be a pet person, but recently, I have been growing fond of the idea of having a cat. Someday I will get one.

80. I am not hooked on one feature that attracts me to a woman. I tend to find a feature or two for each woman, that attract me, and they are not always the things people normally seem to pick, and often they are not even physical things, but rather, emotional or relational things.

81. I do have an appreciation for the beauty in my own gender also.

82. I try not to be boastful, which is something that is making writing this list difficult.

83. I say the word goofy and don't care that it is goofy to use a goofy word like goofy. *Wink*

84. I have been getting better at using Photoshop. I am still learning though.

85. I have also been getting better with my writing through practice and through reading other peoples’ writings.

86. I am not a health food fanatic, but I do see a need to eat healthier than I do sometimes.

87. I have fun surprising my friends with little things like small gifts or meals out. I think it has to do with liking to spend time with friends.

88. I love to build things out of LEGO blocks. Yup, I am still a kid on the inside.

89. I like my marshmallows toasted really dark, but not exactly burnt.

90. I laugh at some of the dumbest things.

91. I have gotten to meet so many cool people on this site.

92. I believe Shakespeare did write the plays associated with him, but that they also adapted some as they went through production, like any play does.

93. I love things that have patterns to them, with the obvious one being stories. There are no original stories. They are all adaptations and mutations of things already told. So, I love it when I can read multiple things along the same theme. For example: George Orwell’s 1984, Aldus Huxley’s Brave New World and Margaret Atwood’s Handmaid’s Tale.

94. I keep a notebook for poems with me most of the time. It usually only is used for final drafts of poems I am working on, but has been used as a place to scribble things so I don’t forget them.

95. I like peanut butter sandwiches, but I do not like peanut butter in my ears.

96. I can walk and chew gum at the same time.

97. I love fantasy and sci/fi artwork, along with pretty much any other artwork.

98. I love to learn new words to use.

99. I have been getting better at adding rhyme to my poems. It is not easy for me to do, but I feel accomplished when I can pull it off and it does not come out lame sounding.

100. I have someone who cares for me and gives me incredible encouragement with everything I do.

Wow! This is definitely going to be a challenge. I am attempting to list 100 things I like about myself due to a challenge made in scroll.

This is the first half of that list.

1. I am alive and healthy. Sounds like a goofy thing to list, but so many people are not in the shape I am, and I am grateful to be well.

2. I have faith in something larger than me, who I believe has control of everything that goes on. Though I may not understand it all the time, I believe God really does have an interest in everyone.

3. I am a goofball. It’s good when you help out with a youth group.

4. I enjoy the kids I do work with.

5. My family is not the closest of families, but I really appreciate them for being my family.

6. I have loyal friends. I know I have talked their ears off on occasion, but they keep coming back, so I must not be too scary.

7. I try to be a loyal friend to those I know.

8. I love my books. They cover many genres and topics, and are by many different writers. And, yes, I do also read the mushy, sentimental books too.

9. I enjoy writing. Sometimes I procrastinate too much, but when I get something completed, I have the best feeling of accomplishment.

10. I enjoy seeing when people like what I have written though that is not all the reason I write. I am just as happy getting the story or poem on paper.

11. Poems are something I thought I always hated to write, but I have found I rather enjoy them, especially form poems. I may be into self-torture, but the more rules the more fun I have writing the poem.

12. I also love the little poems that are spontaneous and just seem to come from nowhere.

13. Though I have not written it yet and it keeps developing, I have had a book in my head since the beginning of the 90’s. It has not faded away like some of the shorter ideas I have had, so I guess that means it is my book and it is for me to write.

14. I lead a somewhat quiet life. I like my quiet life.

15. I don’t drink or do drugs. Well, I have had some drinks, but the drug thing is out. I cannot feel safe with myself not being in control. Besides, even the drinks make me feel funky and I don’t like that at all.

16. Drunk people may be funny, but they make me very nervous to be around them. The good thing is, I have never been around a violent drunk and I never want to.

17. I do get moody, but I feel safe enough with the friends I have to lean on them for comfort.

18. I do dumb things to make people laugh and feel better.

19. I own a mortgage. Someday this house will be mine.

20. I like nature. I am not an extremist who would get rid of all technology, but I do think there needs to be some changes to give the nature we have left a chance to catch back up with how it should be thriving.

21. I try to help people I don’t know. I am a shy person, so it is hard to go up to someone who does not know me, but at least I try to.

22. I try to always be there for my friends.

23. I love playing games. They may not be the traditional sorts of games, but I like to try those things that have some strategy and a good sense of humour in them.

24. As for humour, I am more fond of British humour in all its subtleties than American humour, which tends to be just blunt.

25. As for erotica, I am proud of the erotic fiction and poetry I have written. I had encouragement that helped, and it made me feel much safer with the naughty thoughts I have once in a while. Besides, I have had some people tell me they were actually okay stories.

26. I love to read naughty things, very much so.

27. I have become more comfortable with my body. It has been a long time since I was able to say that, but I am able to do so now.

28. I do have an experimental mind and adventurous spirit when it comes to sensual things, and look forward to having a partner who would share that with me.

29. I am a romantic. If an evening does not end in more than a kiss, I am fine with that especially if the evening had me floating in the clouds.

30. I try to pay attention to a partner’s desires and needs. It is somehow programmed into me to put them first and make sure they are satisfied before I work on those things that please me. It is not to say that I let priorities sit in my life because of a partner, but that I let my pleasures wait until I know my partner has had what they want and need.

31. I am also a one-partner person. Even when looking for someone I may be interested in as a partner, I have always looked at one at a time. I don’t understand how people can have multiple partners and still get to connect with them.

32. When I find out there is a topic that intrigues me, I do all sorts of research on the topic.

33. I enjoy watching people. It is fun to be an observer of people who don’t know you are there.

34. I also really like to communicate with other people. I like to find out the things they know that I don’t or their opinions that I may not agree with.

35. I try not to jump to conclusions and take the time to get to know them first.

36. As far as assumptions go, I am not a racist or anything like it. People each have the right to who they are and I give them a chance to be that person.

37. I try not to be selfish with the things I have.

38. I hope that I give good advice.

39. I am willing to listen to anyone concerning anything they need to talk about.

40. I am honest in talking with people. I may say things that they do not agree with, but I do try to make sure they know that I don’t have all the right answers. I am far from having all the right answers. I can only give advice.

41. I know countless stupid things. Why I know those things, I am not sure, but they sure are good conversation starters.

42. I love to just chat with friends. It is great to know what things are going on in friends’ lives.

43. I also tend to be a bit random with my thoughts, making it great fun to keep people off balance.

44. I also think I should have been born in Britain rather than in the US.

45. I am also a cooler temperature guy. I could never move south of where I am now, but I would love to move into the mountains or further north.

46. I talk to movies. If a movie is really good, it will have me telling the characters what they should be doing in tense moments, or the movie will have me crying in the touching moments. I just love the effects of a great movie.

47. I am a computer programmer, due to the fact that technical things come easy to me.

48. I have also taken classes on English Lit. because it is a fascination that I have always had for words and stories. In addition, I have also taken classes on mythology and how those affect other writings.

49. I will try anything to help friends around me feel better when they are not in a good mood.

50. I have a job with a company I like that has employees I get along with. Anymore that is a hard thing to claim for people.

I am not entirely sure how people get swept up in all the surveys, but I do admit that they are entertaining when a bunch of people start taking the same ones to compare. So, here are my results for: http://www.blogthings.com/whatkindofkisserareyouquiz/

*is not too sure they fit, but anyway...* I think the second part is more true than the first part. *Blush*

Part Expert Kisser

You're a kissing pro, but it's all about quality and not quantity. You've perfected your kissing technique and can knock anyone's socks off. And you're adaptable, giving each partner what they crave. When it comes down to it, your kisses are truly unforgettable.

Part Romantic Kisser

For you, kissing is all about feeling the romance. You love to kiss under the stars or by the sea. The perfect kiss involves the perfect mood. It's pretty common for kisses to sweep you off your feet.

I have been watching people over the past week or so. I don't mean just noticing them, but actually watching them and how they interact with each other. When taken this opportunity, I have noticed that we do have a couple regular groups of people. There are those who are always ready to help out and there are those who are always ready to be devicive. With either group, you really can count on them to stick to what they are good at.

Those are not the only groups I see. Those just happen to be the two major catagories of people. Under them are all sorts of sub-groups, each one having it's tools of the trade, so to speak. For some, kind words, and for others, manipulative words.

What I appreciate is this. Though I do not like the negative groups, I do appreciate the people who allow them to speak their mind even if it is not a popular or friendly thing they have to say. That may sound odd, but I believe that everyone has a right to what they believe, has a right to say what they believe and a right to dissagree with things they don't believe. I do not think people have a right, however, to push their beliefs on someone else.

I guess I am getting too serious in here.

*gets off soapbox*

*throws water balloons at all my readers, the few I may have* *Wink*
