I'm so sorry to read this entry, but I totally understand. I was in the same place in my marriage about two years ago. Everything was my fault, I just didn't understand him, I was never there for him. Nevermind that I took care of him, the house, our pets, worked, volunteered, and went to school.

He was a mess physically, mentally and emotionally. So, I finally told him that that was it, we needed to separate. In May our divorce was final. He's realized he screwed up big time and has started to work on his health problems and is seeing a counselor.

I regret the divorce, but we are still very good friends. When his mother died, and when my father had his heart attack, we were there for each other. This time it was as friends. If we hadn't gotten the divorce when we did, I don't think we would be able to do that....because I think I eventually would have ended up hating him.

I hope things work out for you, whichever way it goes, and if you need to vent, just drop me a line.

Wait a minute.
There is nothing selfish about that.
Anyone who tells you that you're being selfish for putting yourself first-send them my way so I can hit them.
For too long women are told that their families come first-parents, husband, children, in-laws... It's our job to make sure everyone else is happy, often at the expense of our own happiness.
If you need to be alone-live alone, etc... In order to come to terms with who you are, then so be it. If your friends and family can't support you-whether they understand or not-whether they agree or not... If they can't support you then there's a problem.
Coming to terms with who we are is an ongoing process. We're always learning-and changing. When we need to step away from life for awhile to come to grips with ourselves it is important that we do so.
Good luck! Don't allow this to bring you down-use this time to bring yourself back UP!

Yay for money!

Three more weeks of student teaching? Exciting, exciting! When will you know if they can offer you a job? It can be such a bitch getting a teaching job, it's amazing! They cry about needing teachers, but then it's hard to find a job once you've got your credential!

I've got a couple of friends who had to sub for a year or two before being given a full-time position. But I have a couple other friends (brother and sister actually) who got jobs right after they finished their student teaching. Of course one of them was replacing his previous high school band teacher and the teacher had said he wouldn't retire until this guy was ready to replace him so he was guaranteed the job before he even finished high school!

Okay, I'm going to fill up this whole box but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you can stay at the school you're at now!

as i write this my temp has spiked up to 103.3 degrees and I have dosed myself with a great amount of dayqul. I know i'm really not spelling write now, but here it is. I want everyone to please pray that I'll get beetter soon, because i really can't afford to miss anymore days of my student teaching.

First Weekend

This is the first weekend of the rest of my life! Well, not really. Its just the first weekend after the first week of my student teaching. I do have to work today, but I get tomorrow off, sort of. I mean, I have Sunday morning Church, Sunday night Church, and family dinner....But I don't teach 50 4th graders! LOL. I can't wait to get back to school on Monday, so we've obviously hit my calling.

First Week of School

Well, I have one day left in my first week of Student Teaching. I love my kids and can't wait until I start doing more in the classroom. Right now I'm supposed to just be watching "observing what the teacher does" but he is letting me do some teaching. I really enjoy it, but want my own classroom more than ever now. I know, I'm selfish!! I'm only a week in and I already don't know what I'll do when my time is over and I have to say goodbye to my kids (tears). Ok, I have to get off the computer, my internet is still out so I'm using my mom and dad's.

I may or may not be off the internet for a few weeks. For some reason my payment plan didn't get into the system after I talked to the man a few days ago so unless we can reach another agreement, I may be sans internet for a few weeks. If I am, please know that I am not ignoring you or anything, I am just waiting very impatiently to get everything turned back on!

Holiday Moving

OK, Moving over the holidays was a bad idea! My parents moved over the recent Christmas Holidays and traffic was horrible, and everything was closed down for the better part of two days, so that they had a hard time getting the little extras they needed!

Word to the wise: If you plan on moving, don't move during a Holiday!

Overdone Christmas....FUN FUN FUN

My parents are gonna be here in a few days and I couldn't be more excited! I went a little overboard on presents, since they told us not to get any presents for them. I did stockings, and bought presents for them and my grandparents. Poor people won't know what hit them!! LOL

December 18, 3 years

December 18, 2004 is a day to be remembered. You see, that day I was dressed in a beautiful, medieval gown and walked down the aisle by my father. I was married that day, three years ago. And today I 'celebrate' it with my husband. No big plans, no money to have them, but we'll watch movies, play games, and just be together. In the end, isn't that what its all about?
