| christmas day was nice, i went to my friends house and played dnd, i got some gifts for his kids, which they seemed to like, and he got me a dexter bobble head, hehe. it was a fun night :) i am sleeping way too much on this vacation. i dont like waking up at 11... i think i better start using my alarm again. ive been writing the last pen story, and i'm confident it will be finished on time. |
| ive got it figured out. my last pen story, finally. ive started writing it even! and it feels alright.. i dont think i'll thow it out. yay! i'll have something to work on during all this time off. also, i found out when my story for comets and criminals will be up on the site, march 11th. but, the issue will be for sale on kindle or on pdf at the start of the year. i went to the store this afternoon to look for some toys for those kids... yeah... bad idea.. i think i'll wait till 9 or 10, maybe it will have died down by then. |
| I'm on it! I dont have to go back to work until the 3rd. I aim to do some writing in that time, and try not to play too much games and watch too much tv, hehe. going to my sisters on christmas eve to see everyone, that will be fun. then going to hang out at my friends house on christmas day... i should try to find a toy for his kids.. looking forward to being lazy and doing lots of laying around and thinking! and music.. and.. youtube.. |
| my room mate with the freakishly deep voice (who lives right beneath me) was up talking till 3 am. who knows who he was talking to, it could have been a dozen people, but his voice is the only one i could here. well. i took the day off today so i could sleep. i spent a lot of that time i was laying awake to look for a new place to live. with him vibrating all night, and the bird screeching all day, i just gotta get out. in good news, im feeling very confident about this novel idea. ive started outlining chapters, even though im not completely sure of the story yet. things are getting clearer every day. unfortunately im still wasting a lot of time digging.. and i now have friends who play who are peer pressuring me.. arg... happy solstice!!  |
| my new room mate was moving in yesterday. he seems nice enough. he didnt try to talk to me, which is good. i hope he doesnt have any annoying habits. still spending too much time digging holes, but, ive been getting lots of novel ideas and writing them down. still no last pen thoughts though.. ive thrown away 2 ideas so far, if i can throw away one more, then i'll get the good one and be able to have a couple days to write it.. that's how the pattern usually goes.. also, i've found a new favorite band: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OO4w-OqVuZg&feature=bf_next&list=ULKtplHt8OyMA&lf... |
| almost vacation time! i get the 23rd through the 2nd off. hopefully i dont waste too much of it with video games. i played way too much 'terraria' this weekend... which mostly involves digging holes... sounds exciting, i know. ive got a new and improved novel idea, this is the one, for sure this time.. yeah.. i need to think of what kind of physical traits someone who could teleport would have.. both positive and negative ones. i bought my sister's christmas present.. im not going to say what it is though, on the very slim chance that she happens to log in and look at my blog.. im sure she'll like it though! it's nice only having to buy one present, and im glad it was her, too... i signed up for the 30 day blogging thing again! it starts january. ive got my credit cards under control. i think i'll be free of it before my birthday! then i can start actually saving money.. a car? a trip? my own place? who knows... |
| well, i finally did it! one of my stories was accepted at http://www.cometsandcriminals.com/ , ive worked out all the edits and it will be up there soon. and a second story is possibly going to be published at http://dailysciencefiction.com/, which would be even better! That one I wont find out for sure for a couple more weeks. so, i had an awesome weekend! :) still slow with the ideas, and barely any writing, but i'm feeling more confident now. | i havent written in a long time. and now i've decided, or realized, that my characters are shit. they are empty shells, just vehicles to carry the story forward, not memorable or identifiable in anyway, and often not even described. its sort of depressing, as i thought i was making alright progress. now i feel like have way more to learn before i can do anything useful. oh well, at least ive figured out the problem instead of just plodding along obliviously. ive already been given some helpful ideas and suggestions on how to make interesting characters, and i plan to read up on it some. also, i think i will try to write some stories where nothing exciting happens externally, so that the characters are forced to be entertaining. i think i should forget about the novel until i get this figured out.. also, my favorite room mate is moving out. i hope the new person is quiet, and not a stoner. in happier news, i got my sister in the family christmas drawing, so i get to buy her gift. and my loan from ... myself.. was approved, so, i will be free of credit card debt very soon! this song keeps popping in to my head these past few days http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LYhINBctK0w i guess that means i should listen to it? |
