After her last pillaging, Ruby was spotted heading west. You recognized a pattern in her attacks before; everytime she attacks a town, she then docks somewhere to reward her crew and find more members if any were killed off.
It was the middle of the night when you finally arrive at the port town and find out that you were entirely correct. Rocking gently in the docks is her ship, the "Red Devil." Even at the edges of town you can hear the raucus coming from the tavern.
Lowering your eyes to appear as though you are just an innocent traveler, you quietly make your way to the three-story-tall tavern and duck into an alley beside it. You peek into one of the windows.
Inside, the tavern is filled with an assortment of ruffians, hooligans, and just plain not-very-nice people.The rum was flowing more quickly than a river, and even though barmaids were being pinched and grabbed left-and-right, the bartender didn't seem to mind as the coins piled up on the counter.
Movement towards the stairs inside catches your eye. You position yourself to get a better look.
Descending down the stairs are four beautiful women, each wearing identical red blouses, black trousers, and black corsets, with their jolly roger emblazoned on the front.
They are Ruby's elite. The ones she taught all her tricks to so that they would always be able to keep up with her should trouble arise. If they are coming from upstairs, then most likely Ruby is up on the second or third floor.
If luck is on your side, she may even be alone. If your luck was good, perhaps you can even capture her and escape without anyone downstairs noticing.
Looking up, you see there is a downspout leading all the way up to the raingutter on the rooftop. Perhaps it can support your weight. You rest a hand on the sword at your hip as you ponder your choices.
