A VETERAN'S CREED As a veteran, I have served with the finest in peacetime and war, where ever the need. As a veteran I will stand tall and proud to honor the fallen, it's a veteran's creed. I will honor the living, those who survived a war-torn hell not of their own making; who fought for freedom whatever the cost, when their hearts were silently breaking. I will shake the hand of an old soldier and will look deep into his eyes to see the pride that he feels to be remembered for his part in the ongoing fight for liberty. As the early morning sun rises, I will greet another day and be thankful for my life. At the setting of the sun, I will salute the flag that waves freely, far from strife. Countrymom 7/18/07
