Thorns
the pain of love dying can stab

Sharp as thorns
Glass coats your heart
You let go now
Before you start

The love you leave
Is dull and dead
The driest leaves
But tears still shed

If only crying
Would kill this pain
A selfish love
Was all in vain

And so it coats
And makes you cold
Love stabs you like
A thorny rose

Your mind will turn
And stone will come
Your smile will fade
With the rising sun

Your dark world hides you
Safe within
A heart betrayed
By love's sharp pin

And so it goes
You coat your heart
But you should know
You'll coat other parts

It's also all your life
You hide
Because of all
Your selfish pride

And so it coats
And makes you cold
Love stabs you like
A thorny rose
