Enga mellom fjella: where from across the meadow, poems sing from mountains and molehills. |
ME: Just another Saturday... er... Tuesday ...afternoon ...hmmm... evening in Missoula. Thoughts can get imbeded in the head. Anyone for tea? Cellphone wasn't cooperating today. Finally loaded a picture of Myrt. Dear soul... I don't like it that a garage took advantage of her and charged her $80 to tell her her gas cap was not put on tight. I thought she said it was the oil light and told her not to drive until she had it checked. Still, not my fault others take advantage of older women. I would've said, "Tightened the gas cap! Now go!" This evening I went to the Break Espresso and heard a great reading by the high school kids who put out Aerie International Magazine. Alyssa Bashor read a stirring poem, "taxi to soweto" by Sithokozile Mahlaba of Durban, South Africa. The high school group presented the works better than the university MFA students. Nice event. Magazine costs $12. http://www.aerieinternational.com In other news... none really. By slowly working on things ...slow is my only speed... I am making progress around my place. When I get that adrenalin flow on the day I leave for somewhere I won't have an excessive amount of stuff to do. Next blog entry I'll mesmerize you-all with: underwear, socks, shirts and pants ...how to pack for the tropics... 22,104 |
