This week, Donald Trump once again alluded to the possibility of violence against Hillary Clinton in reference to her stance on Gun Control Reform, while Clinton called a segment of Trump's supporters a "basket of deplorables" . Is any of this rhetoric really necessary in an already heated election season? Why is the focus almost always more on the sound bites and mudslinging than the actual issues and policies that should be debated?

I am so glad I am not American. I am so not looking forward to your election.... and its possible ramifications... and I think you have another two months of mudslinging to go.

Our last Canadian election was the longest campaign ever last year.... an amazing 11 weeks.... almost 3 months! American politics goes on ad nauseum.... I see Trump and I want to heave. I wish you could keep Obama.... I don't mind Hillary, but I don't know if you all can handle a woman president.... we shall see.
