Simple stuff, really. Musing uncharacteristically challenged. BLog
My favorite thing about the PDG is that I get to be a squatter in the Student Lounge, otherwise known as Charlotte’s Lounge. I didn’t really have much choice because there is this Dragon that captured me and makes me do her bidding, you know. I really don’t have to even keep the place clean except to occasionally delete some links that get shut down. I certainly enjoy being surprised by others who come in and move things around and even update things. Not just any Paper Doll Gang member can make changes there, I believe they have to be a level 13 or above, meaning they have to be at least a Junior Leader in the group. The newbies who go through the Lounge are all important, though most only ever post once there and never again. That is okay too. We all have our lives to live. It is like I am sitting on the front porch waving hello to every passerby. Most times, I get a friendly hello and almost never a goodbye. Occasionally, I will run a contest for Charlotte and a few of the passersby’s will stop in for a bit and play a short game. I try not to get into anything too elaborate. People do get upset when the rules are too complicated. I don’t want upset people!

So I do require gp’s upon occasion, but not too often. Charlotte likes the shiny things becoming one with her scales. There is a special ritual that I am willing to share with you that allows me to get gp’s from the group leader. Here it is:
Nope, I take it back. the ritual is too precious to share.

So, this about covers my most favorite thing about the PDG; I like greeting people and watching them go on to more fame. Yep, there it is!

Yep, home alone for a couple of days. Still have to work but the wife and boys are off visiting grandma. Me, I am doing the things I look forward to doing to keep myself sane. I cranked the music up loud for a while. I kicked back and watched a couple of anime shows. Some of them are very good! Sword Art Online, Sekerie. I am not sure how that last is spelled. Now, my question is why is it that when I watch these shows under my profile they come up in Japanese? When I search for the same show under the wife's profile, they come up in English? Is this some grand conspiracy to keep my momentary freedom under a watchful eye? I believe so. Still, maddening! I demand my privacy! (Carefully)

I did sit and write a bit on something a bit more Steampunk in style. Well, my idea of what it should be and that is good enough for me. Can zombies be in Steampunk? Of course they can! Have a great day!

It was a warm day at work today. I managed to make it through the day anyway. Business has been slow lately which makes it hard because everyone wants to slow down because we don't want to work us out of work! (Not everyone, but it sometimes seems so.) I believe this is the time to prepare for busy times but I don't think they really want to do that, not really. I know, I should be leaving work at work and not bring it home, but it isn't always easy.

I signed up for an unofficial blog newsletter today. Didn't know such a thing existed. It is rather exciting, blogging, and I expect it can improve my writing some. I certainly hope so!

So my son is at a craft show with his mom selling their wares and it was noticed that a certain item disappeared. One moment it was there, then, after a rash of people, the item was gone. To a ten year old, people are mean. Truth is, people are mean. However, we should love people and encourage them to be better social animals. Maybe not exactly that saying, I just thought it sounded cool.

Some time ago, I was sitting at such a show with my wife when she pointed out a young girl, maybe fifteen or sixteen, pocketing a bar of soap-we were making soap at the time, though no more because of breathing issues with the younger son meant nothing smoky to make in the house. We let her go. I mean, what were we to do? Tackle her? It is wrong to steal. Sometimes prayer helps. Especially if one wills it hard enough, I've heard.

So I am out pushing my boy on the swing and thinking about story ideas. I was thinking about a group of people dedicated to people and helping them plan their finances and live within their budgets. Imagine if this job fell to the tax collector. Wouldn't it make sense that people could learn to earn more money which in turn would pay for the tax collector? Course, I am thinking about putting this into a fantasy/Steampunk scenario.

Another thing I was thinking about was something that could copy the entire internet and save it for limited access machines. Direct contact between people on the internet would be taken out unless they were part of the group/ family. Filters could protect identities...

Back to wonderland...Welcome H.A.M.!

Just said goodbye to the wife and older boy. Yippey! House is mine for two days! I took the day off from work so she can go off to a craft show and sell her crafts. I get to stay home and watch the younger boy. We will get along fine. Saturday night will come quickly, I am sure. I am also sure the house will still be here when she returns.

Summer and Fall shows are usually the best shows for us to do. I say us, but I mean her (and my older boy too, now). I learned long ago that it is best to stay out of the way. Sometime way out of the way, if I know what is good for me. When going to the shows early in our marriage (BK, before kids), I notice other people 'not getting in the way'. Now, that is me. ME, Me,ME, Me, but I am there for her...

After working all day, I arrived home to do a bunch of work putting up a small pool. About 15 feet across. My boy saved up his money for this pool, which was something I didn't want. Those things are scary! Not to mention the other people who will want to come and play in it. Community pools are something nasty in my mind. I know it is just me. Most people don't seem to mind the same water rubbing all over everyone else to be rubbing on them. Yuck! That is what I say. I should get over it...But why?

It is funny, I have been taking my notebook to my family get together and writing little tidbits and the curiosity of other is overwhelming. Some have wondered if I was writing about them. Some even desire such a thing. Is it romantic in a weird kind of way? Who really wants to be a character in a fictional story? I am sorry, does this rendering make me look fat?

Good news today! I made another apple pie from scratch, including the crusts and, since I heard others get away with not cleaning up the mess, I tried it. I will let you know if I get away with it too. Wish me luck!
